Excellent catch!! I hadn’t noticed that tidbit... It’s obviously Optimus in a new paint scheme fighting somebody in the “top secret” box (and I love how his energy ax has the proton pack energy stream wrapped around it!), but I had just assumed it would be Megatron... Now you’ve got me wondering!

I didn’t realize this, but Ectotron is just straight up shooting Astrotrain in the face with his proton pack. Does that mean that those things work on everything, not just ghosts? Or is Astrotrain actually supernatural, like he claimed to be God Gambit? Either way, this is cool.

 

In the first ghostbusters movie we see the proton packs do property damage multiple times so yes they work on more than ghosts, restraining ghosts is just their intended function

 

Well, they do emit charged particles!

 

also, astrotrain's face is pale as shit in general, so him being dead is an easy mistake to make.

 

Especially with TF2007 Baybots not being on Earth when the classic Ghostbusters were active...

I’m just going by the images revealed so far. It’s all pre TF:TM 2005, Ghost of Starscream happens after Galvatron’s formation. Just going by what I see...

 

That may be the case, but remember, this crossover will probably be canon to the ghostbusters comic but that doesn’t mean it follows g1 sunbow canon.

 

I swear if Mr. Staypuft makes an appearance I'm going to be happy.
