Yeah. Same here. Makes zero sense to me.
I found the entire wave at Target the night before payday, so I picked up the most important figure for now.
Wow. They captured him pretty good actually. Just get a Barbie swimming pool and a mini twix bar and you can reenact the conclusion of that one caddy shack scene.
Or. The beginning of an epic US Congress collection.
picked up Slimer and Stay Puft at Wal-mart in slightly damaged packaging.
Found much better condition ones at a later walmart while out and about. I'm considering returning and trying to swap them for better cards...
Speaking of which, what the hell happened to some walmart distribution boxes?! I've seen many different retro Star Wars figures that looked like they've been at the bottom of a clearance bin for a few months! Some of these are from the new wave as well. Incredibly bent/creased, they all just looked dumpy.
How do they look out of the boxes?
No clue. It was found in Europe. I assume they look like Marvel Titan Heroes. Just a cool things for kids.
Why Hasbro don't step it up like Mattel and Spinmaster, on those 12", I dont know.
Saw the full BAF wave at GB, but passed since I don't have any particular affinities towards the films.
The Real Ghostbusters, on the other hand, resonate a lot more with me so I did pick up the Marshmallow Man at Walmart.
Was debating whether to keep him MOC but accidentally dropped him, which bent up said card.
I took it as the universe telling me that he should be opened and so he is.
I actually wasn't as enamoured with him in the packaging as I was with the 4 Ghost Busters.
Now Hasbro/Walmart, please give me the RGB transforming ghosts. I only ever had X-Cop, but my school mate had them all, and those things were awesome.
I thought Walmart just ordered stuff pre-damaged as some sort of image statement like roughed up jeans.
I wondered that myself and I see the printed “distressing” on them but these actually look damaged compared to others I’ve seen. Maybe it is the way they did them though...
Are those 12"? They actually look pretty good. If they show up on the pegs, I'll pick them up.
Anyone having trouble getting the nuetrona wand to stay in plasma series Ray's hands? It keeps popping out on my figure
Huh. Haven't gotten my copy yet from Megalopolis but that's something I'll have to watch out for now that it's been brought up.
I only opened Ray so far, I still have to open Peter, Dana, and Gozer. Hopefully Egon and Winston come soon.
I only have Peter, but yeah it was a bit of an effort to get him to hold the wand securely. I get the impression that the hands & wand weren't really sculpted to go together.
that's what I was thinking
Found the Plasma series today at Target. They are street dated for June 1. So they couldn't sell them.
It is annoying to find things on the pegs that can't be sold but not really worth bitching up a storm over it when they will be everywhere in a week.
That's weird. I found them at a Target yesterday and was able to buy one with no issues.
I wasn't sure if I wanted these so I just bought Peter Venkman to check one out. I think I'm in on the four Ghostbusters after posing Peter around for a bit. I actually considered the Mezco One:12 set previously, but am glad I didn't. The Hasbro ones appear to have better headscuplts and looks pretty good overall.
Yea, I had just bought the 30th Anniversary 2packs because they were on sale at BBTS, before any of the plasma series figures were announced, so I likely won't be picking up any of the newer figures. We'll see how long that actually lasts though lol. I do want figures for displaying and I'm hesitant to open up the 30th Anniversary figs so I may end up getting them for that reasons.
