Looks like we're going to see Ecto-1 as it gets to Summerville before the gunner seat add-on. THere's QUICK shot of it coming out of a covered bridge at night with the ladder on the passenger side as it was in 84 and 89 (unless the shot was reversed for the trailer). So, I guess those modifications were done IN Summerville.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife review – a slimy, stinking corpse of a sequel sounds EXACTLY like what I expected. a nostalgia-bro dung heap vaping forty year old farts.
Funny thing is many others are giving it good reviews. Looks like it has a 83 rt score so far. Ghostbusters: Afterlife - Rotten Tomatoes
The Guardian is the last place I'd go for a movie review, especially from that guy. I'll take it from people who I know who saw it and said it's an amazing experience...
Sound like the talk of someone who isn't a fan, has limited to no knowledge of the source material a big clue is calling things doohickey and old car not even able or willing to just write ecto-1 seemingly because does not even know the cars name, and also seems like someone who hates sequels in general.
More reviews. Ign. (this is the third review that said the little girl steals the movie.) Ign gives it a 9.
Reviews are meaningless to me because things like movies, music, art, are all subjective. I will definitely see this because it looks good to me from the trailers, and no review will sway me otherwise.
Yes, we know. You make sure to tell us in every movie topic how much you hate reviewers, espeecially those on YouTube. Anyway, I'm 50/50 if I want to see this in theaters, but the fact that it comes out after Halloween shows there's not much faith in it. I'll see what Jeremy Jahns gives it to tell me if I should spend the money or not.
October is absolutely packed as far as movies go; there would have been no room for it. October 29th would've been the only feasible date, but it would have shared it with Antlers and Last Night In Soho. Eternals would also massively cut into its legs a week later. As it is now, Ghostbusters: Afterlife only has to worry about Eternals on its third weekend.
It has a good time frame afterwards to make money since Spiderman NWH comes out a month after this. Other than the Resident Evil Reboot and 1-2 dramas, it shouldnt have toomuch competition.
Yeah, I think they chose this date as to not to compete with themselves (Venom) or go up against ANOTHER comic movie (Eternals) and risk getting blown out of the water like Ghostbusters 2 did (it went up against Batman 89... it didn't stand a chance)
Good point, but they should have done it the same weekend as Dune as I doubt Dune is going to do that well.
