At the 53 sec mark Jason Reitman confirms in an interview the original surviving ghostbusters will appear in their flight suits in the movie.
I can't even begin to imagine how much work that would have taken to just line up with the house and get the perspective right.
Not sure if this is the place for it, but Hook and Ladder 8, the real world firehouse in New York City used for the exterior shots in the movies, for the first time in DECADES, has a replica Ghostbusters sign lit and hung over the main doors in celebration of NYCC this weekend. (For years, they had half of the GB2 sign hung inside on display until it was accidentally damaged beyond repair a few years ago) I swear, the ONE YEAR I'm too sick to go to NYCC they do all this cool Ghostbusters stuff... might have to force myself out of bed this weekend to get a shot of my car in front of H&L8)
Yup.... been seething all night XD my friend got to see it. He's SUPER critical with sequels and he absolutely loved it. Now to stay off Twitter for 40 days...
I just would like to know if the early criticism of it being too similar in tone to Stranger Things is true or not.
Aside from some EXTREME outliers, the reviews I've seen have been stellar. While I'm mad I missed the NYCC debut (seriously... the ONE year I pass up NYCC...), my excitement for this film is still super high... and I'm VERY curious what the two credit scenes are.
I work at a movie theater and managed to secure myself a Ghostbusters: Afterlife poster (Sony sent us a few). We just added it to our WIP home theater area. I'm super stoked for this movie!
Lol unfortunately the rest are going to have to stay at the theater. They made an exception with me given I'm a big Ghostbusters fan.
Hmm.. Looks like those fiery sparks flowing over the front of Ecto-1 were the inspiration for the burnt front end variant of the plasma series Ecto-1. Its was kind of surprising but still cool to see the ecto-1 jump like it was in the dukes of hazzard. The terror dog scenes look great!
