The third ghostbusters film based on the 80s films is once again trying to get made by aykroyd. Bill murry will be a ghost hanging out at the firehouse if bill comes back. Yes it will be the "passing the torch" movie dan has been wanting to make for years.

They should just take the ghostbusters game audio and make a animated film like they did the first lego batman movie.

Dan Aykroyd says (again) Ghostbusters 3 is not dead

    Oh, Dan, Dan, Dan...*shakes head*

Any desire I had to see another go-round of the original Ghostbusters died with Ramis. It's well past time to let that one go.

If there's really all that much demand for another one, do one set in the present day of the original continuity, with a new cast, establishing their own GB franchise in another city. I wouldn't mind seeing how much Ghostbusting technology might have evolved in the decades since the battle with Gozer, but I admit even that'd be a weak reason to make another one.

Dan, you don’t have Harold Ramis, and Bill Murray wants nothing to do with it. I know Dan Akroyd is kinda obsessed with paranormal research, but it’s time to let this series go. As far as the film goes, having Ghostbuster interns would be a kinda funny idea, but the only way I see that passing of the torch plot going would be to completely rip off Men In Black where the old guys retire and get to live normal lives while the new team takes over the business.

Bill doesn’t want to do it, Harold is gone, Dan is pretty off his rocker.. but Ernie is still game. Look, regardless of the quality of the reboot, I still think a reboot was the best way to go with the situation we’re in and is definitely the best way to go now, even as much as I love the 2016 film. They can always try another reboot down the line.

Preferably when Sony is bought by Disney and Disney puts a Feige/Kathleen Kennedy/Lasseter who knows what they’re doing in charge of Sony’s shit.

Best if they don't. Probably for few years once Ghostbusters 2016 is forgotten about.

Ghostbusters was very unique, and even if Harold Ramis was still alive I doubt it could work out.

I would rather have an animated movie with the original cast. I can't remember a "passing the torch" movie that was good. I always hate that. I would really like a good new movie though. I really enjoy the Ghostbusters comics from IDW. I watched the new movie last year (I think) and the only funny thing in it was the first few minutes where the guy shows them around the house. The rest of the movie was really embarrassing.

We have ghostbusters 3. It's called "ghostbusters the game". It has all but two of the movie cast and takes place after part 2. Again why not just do like the first lego batman movie and take the audio and animate a film? The voice work is done.

Just do what Evil Dead did after it rebooted, bring back the original narrative as a tv series. No matter how well made it is Ghostbusters 3 will never live up to peoples expectations anymore, especially without Egon now. But if you make a Ghostbusters Netflix series with Ray and Winston in it training a new team, I bet it would be enjoyable. And if it did well, it would give Murray more time to consider being a part of it down the line.

That's the best idea I've heard yet.

Ghostbusters 3 is going to suck, but a series on Netflix or something like that, could work out really well.

That's extraordinarily well done. Love the MAD-eque style of the designs.
