First off, I mostly post on GI Joe boards, so this is where the character came from. Ghost is a self custom, and can be seen here: http://loserville.us/~chad_ghost/ghost.htm Anyway, I drive is a dark blue Pontiac Solstice, so of course I was excited when I found out that Jazz's car mode would be one in the movie. My car is not the GXP, but the small subtle differences didn't bother me. Let me know what you think!! I did the following work to the Transformer: - I made the trunk/top one section instead of having the division, and I removed the rear spoiler and filled the gaps. Doing this made it unable to give him his "shield" - I filled in the extra gas lid on the passenger side (there was one on each side, don't know why). - I removed some disc looking objects from the sides of his feet. I'm not sure what they were and they looked terrible in car mode. - I exchanged the head with a BAAT (1993) from the GI Joe Star Brigade line. - I changed the function of the "telescoping sword" to a shoulder mounted laser cannon. That was something that I was considering. In hand the black doesn't blend as much, but unfortunately, black does not picture well Thanks for the replies!!
That is very wild, dude. The dull paint scheme for the interior robot mechanisms really compliments that sweet, glossy blue. Helluva job!
Nice work... some very straightforward, but effective mods. At first I thought the head was from a Stikfa figure. zmog
Great job. Are you planning on any more GI Joe/Transformers hybrid customs? I'd love to see what you can do.
Thanks everyone!! I'm glad you like how it turned out. No plans, but I have made one in the past: You can see more info here: http://www.joecustoms.com/customs/customs_specific_item.php?kind=vehicle&uid=1180&id=342
It looks great. I like the head mod a lot, and he looks cool with shoulder cannon mount. I do think some silver in the legs and thighs wouldnt hurt though. Very cool!!
