After a nine year hiatus, I jumped back into collecting in January. I am absolutely loving the War For Cybertron line, but it has ramped up the last few days. My school is cancelled for the next two weeks, and we expect it to be at least two more. Understand, I have been teaching for 25 years. I have been teaching summer school since 2002. I can't remember having this much time with nothing to do. Hell, the movie theaters are all closed, too.

I also will likely have to put my 17 year old cat down later this week, so I think I'm just trying to take my mind off it all.

    Anyway...

    Last week I ebay'd Shockwave and a 2nd Reflector.

This week I managed to grab Acid Storm, Nova Storm, and Soundwave. I think I purchased Astrotrain, Apeface, Ultra Magnus, Crosshairs, Cliffjumper, and Hoist from Megalopolis, but we'll see how that turns out. And I've got Earthrise Prime in my trunk.

I think I'm waiting for everything to arrive and maybe open one a day, just parcel it out to give me something to look forward to besides putting short chemistry lessons online.

What if anything are you all doing to deal with this?

After chatting with my wife (and really, her boss, who's a doctor), I'm just going to live my life. I'll still stay in, no point in causing trouble, but I have ways to keep myself entertained.

Get a little bored, I'm sure, but eh.

I just got Playmates '84 Voltron and TFC Hercules along with some ROTF scouts coming in. Definitely want to get some Earthrise stuff to take my mind off all this shit.

Teacher here too. Rather, I was full time teaching, then switched to subbing for this school year, so right now I have no income. So I'll be posting a bunch of figures in the next few weeks, haha.

Since I work retail, my work hasn't gotten cancelled...yet. If work gets cancelled or I get fired for the season, I don't know what I'll do, probably play a lot more Divinity: Original Sin. I've got a Cliffjumper on the way I guess, this whole thing has me bummed because my work depends on tourism.

For me it is a different story.

I have Asperger's. So I am spending my days relying on permanent disability, with another year hoping to transition into my years-long business plan. So all I can say is that I am using this time to figure out how I want to collect Transformers. And also use this scenario as a means of not being distracted by anything else. :lol  So all I can say is I have two orders, and plan to go from there. :)

Retail therapy would be awesome but unfortunately I have to hoard every penny right now in the somewhat unlikely event that my plant gets shut down.

Assistant nurse/nurse student here, in the middle of the madness. Can’t buy nor sell bots right now so appreciating what I have. Considering teaching myself to draw them.

Highschool Sophmore here (in between online classes), I haven't had the time to bike or take the bus to my Target (which hasn't restocked in 2 weeks) I have been detoxing a bit, so I have decided to sell some stuff off and work on my displays (revamped the entire thing on my collection thread) and making stop motions, my main bit of passion.

The company I work for is still toying with the idea of working from home, but I know they don’t have the infrastructure for all of us to do it simultaneously. So, we may get shifts or alternating days. In the meantime, I haven’t bought anything in about two weeks. The last figure I bought was Siege Ratchet at a
Walgreens. I had been in the fence, but when I found one deep on a shelf, I caved. I already have Ironhide, so I knew the mold well. Maybe that’s why it didn’t spark much joy. I don’t regret it, though.

If I’m sent home, that’ll mean my 3-year-old will be in heaven, as he doesn’t get to play with my TFs unless I’m there. He takes all the Titan Masters and has them ride TR Leaders. Calls them “baby transformers”.

Most of my income and entertainment I get from home, so nothing's really changed for me, except for maybe online shopping. No word from Pulse on any preorders I've made, but I'm going to assume they'll get hit with another delay.

Welcome back to collecting. And I’m really sorry about your cat. Losing a 4-legged friend is so hard.

This not the time for retail therapy. One, you could be a carrier of virus and not be showing any symptoms yet, so by going to store after store after store looking for toys you could be potentially infecting others.

Plus now is the time to be fiscally conservative. Especially if you work in an industry that has been hit hard. Many businesses have closed until COVID-19 has gone away. Don't splurge on toys and video games when when your employment is up in the air.

Now is time to start saving for that rainy day fund because the dark clouds may be rolling in.

My company is in full-on Zombie Apocalypse Lockdown Mode, so we’re all working remotely. My home office is where the toys live, and I’ve rearranged the shelves probably 850,000 times over the past week during conference calls and whatnot. If nothing else, the room hasn’t been this dust-free in years.

I'm the IT guy at a Library and we canceled most events, but we're staying open for now. Fortunately there have been no cases where I live and most or the people I deal with are not in the high risk categories. Also I'm on a military base and they don't play around when it come to communicable diseases, so I'm not so super worried about getting sick. As for shopping, the Walmarts here are a mess and weren't much better before the panic, one is over run with Chromia and another is chocking on 35th stuff. I'm thinking of getting G1 Screamer online, and just having to shipped to me, but we just moved and I don't have as much space as I use to...

I think the thin we all need to remember is that we all lived through H1N1 and that was much worse than Covid-19, also Covid-19 is on the down swing already so I only see this lasting one or two more weeks.

This is an objectively (and depressingly) incorrect statement.

Picked up Hoist and Grapple (knew I wanted the pair......come on Earthrise Inferno......), May pick up some ML or other TF’s as much as I can before only supermarkets are left open (not sure if Walmart’s and Target’s would be exempt, as they both sell food, pharmaceuticals and general goods)

Focusing on necessities, stocking up on supplies/food, family, work, and getting through the current situation. Purchasing Transformers figures/toys is on hold, as their are more important things to concern oneself with right now. If anything, it will give me more appreciation for what I already have, instead of always obsessing over what figure I am going to get next.

The island is on lockdown until the 30th and I start vacation time tomorrow (coincidentally I am scheduled to return to work on the 30th as well). I have plenty of plastic to tide me over the next 12 days, though I'll probably ship out my pile of loot in the meantime.
