Has anyone here collected (or still collect) Digimon cards? I have a small selection, a starter deck and some of booster 1 and 2 sets. But I realized there are these more "modern" ones with 3d-ish art and different backgrounds. There's also a "Street" card game??? Can anyone help me figure out what the different series are? and good way to "fill in my gaps"? I searched online, but could only find the instructions for the game, not really info about what is what. Also I swear I used to have this awesome little poster that showed all the possible combinations of Digimon + Eggs, but it was in this new style I mentioned above. Confusing because I thought the Eggs were part of an early release, like the second iteration, but the art looked "new series"?? Help! if you can!
I have a bunch of these, and I think the posters you're talking about came in booster packs, just as they did with series 1 & 2. Also when it comes to the eggs, I believe series 3 & 4 had em, and the art style was definitely different. For example... Digi-Battle Card Scans
Wow!!! Thanks for the info! Yeah, i remember I freaked out when i got booster 3 or 4 set cars because the backs were different (obvious when you were playing), the repeated characters and added digieggs!!!! Now granted, I love the digiegg concept, so I was happy to see that, but confused at the change. I'd love to learn why/how/who all that happened. Do you (or anyone) know of any active communities that sell/trade the cards? Also, I'd LOOOOVvvvveeeee to get a scan of that yellow series 3 or 4 mini poster with all the possible combinations. Any chance you have it still??
If I have time this weekend or something I can dig a bunch of my cards out & take a pic, but I really doubt I still have the poster thing. I've got a couple from series 1 & 2, but I only bought one pack of the later stuff, so who knows. No promises, but I'll try not to forget about this hah. As far as people wanting to sell/buy/trade the stuff, I know we've had a couple Digimon topics in here before, so it can't hurt to check em out. Other than that & possibly getting lucky in the Junkion, I've got no idea hah. You might do well checking out card websites to see if they have older stock. I remember getting a bunch of DBZ off of Cardhaus before, so again, you might get lucky with one of em.
