Found this on Shout! Factory's TF DVD thread (scroll way down to 5/22). Seems like a great opportunity for TFW's artists to shine.

Does anyone know if it can be any gen or is it G1 only? I'd like to submit some stuff but I only have movie & animated related drawings and I probably don't have enough time to get anything new done.

 

I have also sent them an email. I hope my piece get in.

 

Emailed them a bunch of renders. Hopefully they pick one of them. I wonder if their looking for G1 specific art.

 

Good question, but just to be on the safe side, I've sent only G1 pieces.

 

I sent them one G1 piece, the rest were classics....

Shout! did this for their SatAM Sonic the Hedgehog DVD box set, and I was lucky enough to get my art on the DVD case. Love those SHout guys. =D

 

release acknowledging your ownership of the art

What does that mean? Giving up ownership of the art, or just proving that it's your pic?

 

I think its to state you own the art and you are giving Shout permission to use it in the DVD feature.

 

I wish I could draw. I would definitely do it.

Go ahead. The worst they will do is not contact you about the art, which is a 'no thanks, we can't use this'. But then they might use it, too.
