I finally managed to find a Generations Whirl, decided to paint him up to look less G1-toy-ish, and more IDW-ey. I got rid of the yellow blades and ankles, repainted the red stripes in navy blue. Removed the silver on his thighs, as well as most of the darker blue on his lower legs. Painted the beams on his cockpit, and added a small reprolabel (I thought the stickers provided were too big, and could use the white outline on them). Repainted his head, did a tiny bit of weathering on his claws, feet and shoulders. Nothing too extreme, but I think i like his overall look better now. Thanks for looking, as always, comments and critiques are much appreciated *UPDATE Yeah, I'm never really quite finished a figure....haha I gave my Whirl a new eye last night, (last 3 pics) it looks like glass and has a nice glowing flashy look to it when it reflects light. It's just a gem cellphone sticker that I put a few dollops of paint on to make it rounded and yellow. Simple, but very effective. I promise I'll stop fixing him now!
