Probably because they don't want to break up the look of the seekers they already put out. Fans have wanted a Thundercracker since Classics Starscream and for a reasonable price. If they put out a new mold with him that looked too different from what we have, there'd probably be fan backlash. Not only because the seekers don't all match up, but also because it would mean having to buy all the seekers again.

Agreed! I would love to see those two come out in either Generations or RTS.

The point of saying "he needs new colors" is to justify Hasbro rereleasing him. Eg, maybe with a different wing pattern or shade of purple.

And it hasn't been 7 years. Skywarp came out in 2006. It's been four years. Still quite a while, but still.

    Also agreed.

Though new mold Slipstream, please! I'd be fine with a new jet too so long as the sleeker aesthetics of her character are properly captured.

Damn right! as long as we get a purple 'generic' too, and the bright blue rainmaker, and that forest green one that appeared in that one episode, and ... aw crap.

Both Thundercracker and Wheeljack look great. Definitely getting Wheeljack (Grimlock could use some repairs, lol), but I'm not sure if I'll get Thundercracker. Already have his spot filled by a kitbashed Skywarp. However this guy looks great, so I might replace my kitbash. The Universe part of my collection could use a T-cracker, as it's already got a Starscream (Energon) and a Skywarp (Universe 1.0). Might be a wait-and-see-in-person situation.

I say this for all people who are in your situation: go ahead and get Thundercracker if you see him...at only $9, it'll keep you from wanting to kick yourself later...and if you change your mind about wanting to keep him, you'll have NO problem finding someone to buy it from you. Scalpers are going to be all over him (and Wheeljack).

Finally! I thought I have to go berserk and buy the BotCon or the henkei...

Now I well have the 3 Original Seekers, Plus the 3 ConeHead Seekers!

Oh yeah, and the *Acid Storm* guy...

How cool if they released SunStorm?

And Wheeljack :)  Very nice indeed.

Just hopping for Sunstorm and, someday, Devcon :D

At this point we need a complete new seeker mold, one that doesnt look so cheap aside the original version.

It is amazing how the alternate mode of the 80s is superior that a new mold! WTH is the landing gear in the new seekers? why do they have those blocky launchers and is so problematic rise the arm because of the launchers!

Hope Hasbro made a complete new mold in a voyager side and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD realese them in THE SAME LINE WITH THE SAME BOX AND THE SAME SHIELD DESIGN

    Hasbro, the word to learn is h o m o g e n e i t y

    Jesus....

Never, ever going to happen. Sorry.

There's only so many slots for toys in a line, and there is next to no way that Hasbro would use up six of them on the same toy in different colours. Definitely not with Voyager, highly unlikely with Deluxe. You might just about get it with Scouts or Legends. But with the trend of rebooting packaging styles mid-line, you're never going to get all six in the same packaging. Three is pushing it, even.

I'd say be grateful for what there is. What you are looking at is the only way it was ever going to happen - the only way to get these six toys out there. Being split over three lines is the cost to be paid.

And what kids/adults see are seven or eight versions of the same toy clogging up shelves with little to no diversity at all. Then Hasbro sees no money.

There is no reason to bring Jesus into this, he just had a birthday.

Who cares what line he is packaged in? WE'RE GETTING A $10 THUNDERCRACKER. If he's such a problem for you, then just leave him on the shelf for another collector.
