Just got mine and already painted the crown crest and put some KFC articulated hands on - love it! - Think I stick with the red shoulder pylons, I know they featured mostly in the Target 2006 story line and then changed colors after that in other story lines, but I like how it breaks up the color on the figure. Like Thundershot, I am going to hold off for ToyHax stickers.

Yes, because some characters from the movie travel back in time to the then-current year of 1986.

 

Kind of. Botcon Scorponok is a headmaster (unlike the other versions of the mould) and he is both smaller than Infinitor and larger than the Fansproject/Titan headmasters. But he's quite a bit smaller than Infinitor (picture found elsewhere on the forum):


But if Infinitor is a pre-upgrade Fort Max, then they should be the same size.

Also, Botcon Scorponok is a bit expensive and hard to get. But if it had been more easily available, like Infinitor I would've bought it wishing it were a bit bigger. (Still thinking of getting a version of the mould to use as such.)

Short summary, sometime during the events of the movie Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge travel back in time to 1986. Galvatron's plan is to built an underground weapon (IIRC where Autobot city would end up being build). After completion they would return to 2006 and then fire the weapon to destroy Unicron. So the story takes place in 1986 but their target is in 2006. (And yes, at the time the comic was written the script of the movie, all writer Furman had, was set in 2006 which was later changed to 2005.)

So yes, those cars are in 1986.
