The individual boxes likely end up taking more overall space, but give you more flexibility

I'm just hoping we get some art out of it.

From the start, it's looked like they copied elements of UW Computron and Baldigus with the combining weapons.

Hopefully it means he has a bigger combined sword, as well.

Individual releases do have the benefit that it's easier to get rid of them. With boxsets it's harder to get it over your heart :(

Nice, nice! Hope we\'ll see some new pics of that upcoming Generations Armada Prime too very soon as well. If he comes with a trailer he can combine with, I will... well, do stuff to express my joy that would only have place in a JobbyTheHong video.

I’m wondering if Skalor’s sword plugs into the back of his combiner hand to give Piranacon his spiked fist? If it’s black to match the fist, it could also be the stand for targetmaster mode.

Also, I like the fact that’s Skalor’s fish limbs appear to be on ball joints - all the easier to pop off and replace with some custom fins ala the more fish-like Seacons in Marvel UK:

Hopefully the reason they didn’t do a boxed set is so people can army build the limbs. I’d love God Neptune to get a boxed set later...

Man, we're living in a great time for Transformers collectors. Be grateful, be happy. Seriously, this is awesome. Forward, backward and side to side movement on those ankle rockers, the amount of detail...what?! Geez.

If they're still releasing new CW compatible figures in 2019, there's really nothing that'd stop them from releasing a true dual torso Liokaiser. (And given the nature of Selects, it'd be the perfect opportunity to sell *just* the torso bots for anyone who already has the US release)

honestly at that point id expect them to redo the limbs too with potp combiner pegs, that way they have 5mm ports to accommodate the breast animals

If they did, I'd hope it was only minor retooling so I wasn't compelled to buy the full set.

...also, looking at Skalor, does *he* have the PotP port on his chest as well?

Think they’ll do a proper Liokaiser after Piranacon is done?

They've done Richochet, a Red Swoop, Piranacon, and even gave Godbomber CW ports in his legs.

I think at this point Road Ceaser, Monstructor, and an updated Liokaiser are all still possible.

I think Takara is purposefully holding him back to release him at the same time as HasTak release Star Saber & Deszaras. He wasn’t released by Takara back during ‘Unite/Combiner Wars’ with all the other non-beast combiners (they could have taken the Hasbro set & done further work on it), & they know how popular he is.

I think Star Saber & Deszaras will get wide releases from Hasbro, & Liokaiser will likely be a select release from Takara then. I could see it being the same with Dinoking actually.

One thing worth pointing out. The silhouette they use for Piranacon in that display could mean Nautilator is currently slotted as "the gun."

However, Takara typically goes for animation accuracy in their designs. And from what I can tell, the only time Piranacon/Poseidon showed up there was with this config:

That'd match the teaser (Skalor as the right leg, Seawing as the left arm). And with Nautilator as the gun or right arm it's possible his beast legs are wrapped up in the forearm. His gun is also fatter than Overbite's.

It'll be interesting to see what they end up doing. Because I agree that if Takara does have to get creative to make the gun mode possible for only one of the limb bots, it'd make the most sense for Nautilator so they could repaint the whole thing as God Neptune later.

...though I wouldn't put it past Takara or Hasbro to create a character based on Nautilator with a BWII color scheme.

Oof that backpack on Skalor is a little massive, i know its to be assumed that a lot of beast modes in a scramble city combiner are going to have a bit of a backpack, but at this point I'm just worried how hard he will be to stand on his own!

On the other side of the coin, who the heck is going to display Skalor as a bot when that combined mode is already looking so promising! those are flat out some of the nicest combiner wars hands and feet we've seen! I wonder if that means the whole crew will be coming as a box set, since thats the only time we've seen combiners with dedicated hands and feet. Im really excited to see how they do Tentakill, and overall if they're going to keep all the colors as aggressive as they were in G1.

Two questions though, being a generations selects, does that mean these dudes will be mail order only? Also is there a difference between Piranacon and King Poseidon? Or was it just what continuity you followed?

And they can use the technology for a new Devastator and Monstructor/Dinoking.
