I had to start changing my purchasing habits. Not getting it all anymore. Only certain characters or certain gimmicks.

At some point, I'm just going to have to pare it down to "The best of ____". The Best Ultra Magnus, The Best Megatron, etc.

I have an entire shed to myself full completely of boxes to the point that nobody can walk into it anymore without removing something first. 90%+ of it is MISB Transformers and a box of opened 80s ones. Lol. I hope i can squeeze some Siege stuff in there somehow. Especially when Omega Supreme arrives. No way am I missing Snaptrap and the other Seacons when they appear as well.

I used to have an entire basement dedicated to displaying my collection. That all changed when we moved...into a larger home. LOL! Now 75% of it is in boxes in the garage and I've dedicated one room to be an arcade. What good are all those toys just sitting in a box un-enjoyed? Eventually, I'm going to need to pare down.

The only reason most of mine are still in boxes is until i actually have a place to display a number of them (though some will remain unopened). About to renovate the other part of my basement level of the family house to have some room for it. I'd have WAY more space if the stuff in the shed now was out of their original boxes. That packing material is what really eats up the space. I'll get some shelves and detolf units, then i can break down the boxes and preserve them (even if I ditch the plastic molded tray inserts). Snaptrap is definitely on the "open and display" list :)

When I started showing the g1 cartoon continuity cartoons to my boy, I started to give him all the characters that appeared in the show. which left a bunch of guys/toys that never appeared in the cartoon. A LOT, and my boy didnt really care about them either when I showed them to him. So , for the most part, if the character didnt appear in the g1 cartoon continuity, I sold the toy off. There was just so much for him to have and the characters that didnt appear in the cartoon, just didnt mean anything to him. So now I only buy g1 continuity cartoon appearing characters that actually look like the cartoon, for example I didnt not buy the last generations springer, but Ill sure as hell buy this new one coming out.

CW did that to me. Realized it was combiners (and things that combine) that are what I love most about the line, so that's where my focus is going to shift.

Puts me in a real bind with Siege, as we're all fairly sure that Takara/Hasbro is going to do Leobreaker/Sonic Bomber....but there's no evidence of that and Prime is starting to hit stores.

Funny thing, before Armada came out Hasbro was calling it "G1 imagined" so when they do get to redoing some stuff from the UT look out for possible stronger G1 influences.

So like....I was kind of advocating for a Piranacon in PotP after seeing Preds and Abomy. I'm happy to see it still happen in a way but upset as a Canadian boy cuz of the eventual Hasbro Pulse listing.

Gawd I feel old. I was watching CHiPs when I was a little gaffer. Thanks a lot. :p

Huh. I just goes to show how different when parents were children then compared to their children now in this day and age. For me personally, I was (from a kid up to an adult now) a got to collect them all, is/was that you too, @jamarmiller?

It made me feel even older when I found out a few years back that the police chief in CHiPs was actor Chris Pine's father. lol.
In the 80s, especially since I always liked tortoises (I have two pet ones now) and turtles, getting Snaptrap was a no-brainer. He's among my many surviving G1 figures, but i never ended up getting the rest of the team. As much as I loved Snaptrap, I didn't miss them either. Over the years I'd looked forward to getting them, however. Although I did eventually get the 2010 reissue set, I'll happily pick up an updated version of the set. Frankly, even if the new Snaptrap never got any limbs, I think I'd be content. Still, I'll be rooting for the limbs. :)

In that case, it would be Councilor.
It's called the Tripredacus Council, after all.

yeah I wanted them all too, but things were different too then, I had g1 US series only, so the wait was longer and the amount of toys were so little compared to what he gets now , now my boy has US g1, japanese g1, Beast wars/ II, Neo, Machines, the Machinima series and possibly coming up the net flix series too. So I can understand.

I think the council was formed after the events of the 2016 BotCon fiction.
