I much prefer the previous Legion class Universe release as my micromaster Rodimus.

 

Finally have my 3 core figures! I‘m pleasantly surprised with how much I’m into how they scale with one another and how well Megs fits in with the IDW designs.

 

I use the diecast Rodimus Titan Master with a custom painted TR Loudmouth vehicle. I like using TM Rodimus b/c he can actually store in Star Convoy's chest (if you have a spare PotP Matrix frame, at least) like on the original.

 

The Super Megatron pic you’ve all been waiting for

 

Man, that is an amazing shot. And it's remarkable how all Super Megatron really needed to stand out from Titans Return Galvatron was a new chest, head, shoulder armor, wings, fusion cannon and biceps (since Galvatron's biceps were at the front rather than to the side).

Everything else like the arms is just lifted from Galvatron and given new paint. I really thought the blades on Super Megatron's forearms were new, but nope! Galvatron had that too.

Man, I really hope my copy comes on October 12th (with top quality control) because these pics are tantalizing... (and I wonder if a third-party will produce gap filling pieces for Super Megatron. Maybe give him pieces a la Siege Soundwave had third-party panels that covered his forearms in bot and vehicle modes...)

 

My tracking number for this guy has moved to tomorrow instead of today....

Holy shit. Uh... I wasn't even interested in this toy until now, but... I think I might actually wanna pick him up on the aftermarket in the future. WFC: Siege Megs is great, and was a massive improvement over TR Megs (which I still liked a lot, mind you), but he's very G1 and also a little smaller than I'd prefer. And the new Super Megs is an upgrade over him in both those respects.

(Shame I have no money for Transformers for the foreseeable future, but lots of folks are in the same boat ATM, so I've got plenty of company.)

 

As long as Takara Selects are delivery us new figures of Star Convoy and Super Megatron, do you think we'll ever see a figure of their fusion: Gilthor?

 

I skipped Star Convoy, but Super Megatron has got to be on many top 10 toy lists this year.

 

Oh m8, yes please! I wouldn't be surprised if they did, and what better time for them to make him than when Gilthor's creators, the Quintessons, are back in the spotlight with Earthrise? The question is which mould would they use as a base for him?

Haha! Well spotted. Yes, I should be adding this Super Megatron gallery tomorrow. It's been a rough ride these last few months, but hopefully after in a about a month I should be able to get back to updating it more frequently.
