I would, but I’ve recently gone reissue-less. My last collection was 50% reissues and KOs and I decided this time I would try for an all vintage collection. You can follow my progress in the G1 Appreciation Thread!

Wow, I really hope these become available at a regular price.

My kids really love the Seacons and I'd love to get them for them, but the whole set is going to be $260!?!

I am not going to let myself pay that much.

They have the G1 reissue. That will have to do.

These are imports, they are regular price and this set is unlikely to see a domestic release, especially because hasbro is importing them

Sorry tigatron2002, I should have said, "non-ridiculous price."

Again, they’re specifically called out as imports on hasbro pulse, the prices are well in line with what Takara charges for these figures at little to no markup.

Right, they are about the same price as Takara legends were.

I enjoy the fact that the Seacons are back! However, given the price tag, I am inclined to look for a reissue. But I DO want them.

    Is it MISB? :D

The Generations Selects that are imported from Takara are projects that are solely initiated by them self, probably without any requirements from Hasbro when it comes to production costs, like how many parts can be retooled or how many paint operations can be doen to the figure to stay in budget X. Thats probably the reason they are only sold over the Hasbro Pulse shop (which btw. isnt available for us Europeans) because the price, as people already mentioned, is higher per unit then a regular figure, that is designed and developed by both partners.

So I can imagine that Turtler and the rest of the seacons are projects from Takara that probably already exceed the typical Hasbro budget limit. Which makes a regular retail release impossible, considering that they are still locked into a regular size class (Voyager and Deluxe).
And selling them at retail for a higher price would deter people from buying them when they see it is still the same size class but a higher price, so that wouldn´t be benefical at all when the stock isn´t moving in the first place.
