This also means that if friction isn't enough to keep the shoulder in place, you can carefully glue it there and shouldn't have any issues.

Fun Fact: PotP Rippersnapper had the exact same thing. No pin, but held in pretty well by friction. I believe the only guy who has this joint pinned is Nautilator/Lobclaw, and that's because he's the only guy who's beast mode expects you to pop that out so his claws can spread far enough out in beast mode to clear his head.

I've seen a few other people who's Overbite arms slid out, but mine doesn't appear to have that issue at this time.

Then yes, you missed the boat. I was going to suggest a few sites that have it for in between retail and that, but nm.

Sets are going for $500 plus on Ebay now.

The only reason you might try to avoid glueing it solid is that the right-side shoulder bracket hides access to a screw. If you ever think you'll need to get in there, be very sparing with the glue. Just a tiny bit that will hold the part in place, without being completely unbreakable.

    Per wikipedia:
Coelacanth flesh has high amounts of oil, urea, wax esters, and other compounds that give the flesh a distinctly unpleasant flavor, make it difficult to digest and can cause diarrhea. Their scales themselves emit mucus, which combined with the excessive oil their bodies produce, make coelacanths a slimy food.

Which pairs PERFECTLY with his G1 bio.

TFSource shipped my last 2 & they'll be delivered on Wednesday. Hasbropulse created a shipping label for my second Overbite but it hasn't actually shipped yet.

Came up with this fan mode after being frustrated at the elbow’s inability to hold a targetmaster member on it.

Pretty sweet fan mode. The ability to customize the figures in the latest lines is a real plus. I'm amazed how many different ways you can usually arm a figure now yet the figures aren't obviously riddled with extra parts or unsightly marks in order to do so. The engineering has been fantastic, even if the final plastic execution is sometimes lacking.

One thing they definitely need to work on is weapon balance. When something is designed to hold a heavy weapon, there is no excuse for not designing joints strong enough to do so. It isn't hard or expensive so I'm at a loss for why this has been a problem for so long and continues to be a problem.

Thanks!! Despite all the technical blunders, I really do enjoy playing with the configurations. Though, really wish they would move on from Combiner Wars and give us new combiner engineering already. Those molds are getting repetitive.

I wouldn't mind new molds with the same CW compatibility.

Of course mate, what would you want them for?

That would be awesome, too!! Though, I still think a lot of mold design and scale would be kinda limited by the compatibility engineering. If they would just throw those all away and design each combiner separately (without even having to worry about whether Scattershot can connect with Swindle from the same line, let alone figures from 5-6 years ago), we could get a character/scale-centric design instead of a compatibility-centric one.

I would be shocked if they revisit combiners this soon, but if they did...I would expect them to find a new universal system to replicate the scramble style.

Now that they're focusing more on genuine "accuracy" it's not entirely impossible that something like Road Ceaser, Monstructor, or Landcross would find a new system since those weren't scramble.

The only thing I kinda wish they'd do is find ways to integrate CW joints in non CW figures. Take Godbomber for example. He had CW legs, even though he wasn't a combiner. And it didn't do anything on the figure itself, but it was useful for splitting him up to combine with Ginrai. My biggest wish for the line is they do a Tidal Wave who's vehicles come together via CW ports (at minimum the shoulders, but the knees would be cool). It would give him some bonus compatibility without compromising the figure (as the original also used pegs/ports to combine).
