Hey, Hasbro, I know shipping is delayed because "reasons", but soon, please.

 

Just got my invoice for the last two Seacons from Toy Dojo!

And 19 minutes from invoice to shipping notice. They're really the best.

 

Just for a bit of context... are you saying you received a communication that your figures were delayed? I ordered Skalor last week and it always takes a bit of time before any figure I order actually ships from HP. Unless you received a communication that actually indicates a delay, I wouldn't worry too much. This is BAU for HP.

 

I'm fine waiting until the 27th as noted on the Overbite and Tentakil pages, since Pulse has by far the best price I could find shipped to me!

 

No. They just have a notification bar at the top of the website saying shipping may be delayed.
Obviously due to COVID right now.

 

Gotcha, thanks. As mentioned, when I've ordered mine it's been pretty much a fire and forget, so that when they do ship it's a nice surprise versus a waiting by the mailbox kind of slog.

 

Does anybody think any third party company will make any accessories for these things?

 

I have mine put together and it just seems like the waist is lacking.

Haven't spotted anything from the usual suspects (PE or TDW) yet, but when I saw this guys' gauntlet claws for Abominus and Volcanicus on Shapeways, I suggested he have a crack at Piranacon. He got back to me in no time, and this was the result:

Asked TFSOURCE when they might have the last 2 in and they said end of the month if not the first of next month, was there a delay I missed ?

Wouldn't be much different than what he has now.

 

The TDW kit will probably be a retool, or have shared parts with, their Abominus and Volcanicus kits. Likely the Volcanicus hands/feet, Abominus thighs and hips. Though I hope they fix the issue with those thigh covers and just make them one wrap around piece rather then separate pieces, worked well for their other sets. Likely a new chest piece/shield, Maybe a combined weapon like a new trident or a solid one piece sword and bigger back cannons.

 

And again, I must ask.
Why bother?
Especially when it won't look all that different.
What's there to gain form a so called "upgrade" kit when there's not much (imo, nothing) to upgrade?

turtler doesnt have the 5mm posts on his combiner thighs/bot mode arms that the abominus kit uses for its thigh pieces, so those arent likely to be the same in that hypothetical scenario

It would fill out the thighs, which is a common issue for CW torsos. A different chestplate that's more round and covers more of the torso like it's supposed to instead of just the chest. And if I had to guess, probably a solid piece trident, maybe the torso expansion than Abominus has.

 

Maybe more accurate G1 style hands, better feet that fit the combined mode more proportionally, and definitely thigh fillers.

Even if this WAS going to happen you would have thought somebody would have announced something by now or had some pictures to show.
