Don’t forget Star Convoy is up for preorder at all online retailers for the import price too. Same price as on Pulse.

$10-$15 more actually. hasbropulse has it for no middleman markup (the same price roughly as the takaratomy mall price when converted to USD) whereas bbts and others have a markup

    Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter...

You’d think maybe the limbs will be $35 then hopefully. I’m not wanting to spend $50 a limb and if they are i don’t need him. not spending $300 on a combiner

I presume the current relationship is when one makes a thing the other just says "hey, run us a batch" and they do. That's why so much has been warts and all with the different design philosophies.

My understanding of them are as follows:
Hasbro lives and dies by the price point. I would argue pre-prime wars Generations was a crapshoot because they hadn't figured out how to be reliably good and on budget. I often get a sense of 'good enough' from them. Like how Red Swoop's grey doesn't match the Dinobots at all.

Conversely, I always saw Takara prefering to nail it as best they can, within the limits to still be consumer level. When they have to use Hasbro's molds they did it in paint. But when they get to retool or design their own, they go to town.

It’s not. As I said earlier they do for a joint project-the Prime trilogy and the new War for Cybertron as examples- BUT if Takara makes something themselves like Prime unicron, Unite Warriors Groove, Blast off, hasbro has to talk to Takara about using the mold. Sometimes they do like those last two and sometimes no. Like I said earlier people asked hasbro is they’d be releasing Groove and Blastoff and Habsro said not at the moment because they don’t have those molds. Only Takara did and they’d have to see if they can acquire them and they did.

It’s the same as masterpieces. Takara has the license to make them out those car companies but hasbro doesn’t. Hasbro would have to pay those car companies as well to release them and that’s why we haven’t see so many get released by Habsro

are you just trolling at this point? star convoy is a takara import item, hasbro is merely acting as a vendor for them on that one, otherwise why make a distinction on hasbropulse.com between takara tomy generations selects and non takara tomy generations selects?

I'd love to see Hasbro or Takara (or both) do more cancelled G2 repaints as releases for the Generations Selects line. I'd really love to see them, repaint WFC Siege Mirage in pink and lime green he was supposed to get released in. Keep the crocodile!

It’s fine enough, but there’s no way in hell I’m spending $300 for it.

I think it’s amazing that hasbro is doing this stuff. They found a way to get around the licensing of MPs and other stuff. I really wish this happened 3 years ago when Legends was at its all time high with their great decos and retools from generations and titans return and unite warriors.

Have we heard if these were TTMall exclusive yet? If that's the case, then AmiAmi/HLJ/other Japanese stores won't have it. The usual US importers will, though. Hasbro Pulse probably will.

If this is the case, then barring possible shipping (if put up against, say, TFSource's free shipping), Hasbro Pulse might be the cheapest of the domestic options because the precedent is that they'll carry the item at cost, rather than the typical E-tailer middleman markup.

Splendid! That'll be the difference between me buying all 6 instead of just 5.

They’ll be the same price as the Takara version if they’re on pulse (because they’ll be the Takara version). Notice star convoy is $80 not $50

Definitely in agreement, it’s probably the biggest benefit in them opening the new site
