The first two are less than a month out! I'm excited! I'll have to get my little POTP Pretenders out and get them ready for battle!

Don't forget Overlord and TR Crashbash, Terri-Bull, Fangry Wilder and just for good measure Dreadwind and Darkwing because they are as close to Buster and Hydra as we're likely to get for a while.

It is certainly true that Hasbro makes the occasional deep cut. But that doesn't make any specific deep cut likely. It merely means that no specific deep cut is impossible.

Generally speaking, releases are made because the toy company thinks that they can sell enough to make a profit. The Seasons fall into a category where they had a bit more visibility back in the day in Japan than in the US. It therefore should come as no surprise that Japan might find a new release more viable than the US does. And none of this even gets into Takara's willingness to put resources into mold changes, paint, and engineering to sell at a different price point than the US market tends to bear.

Again, none of this makes a US/Hasbro release impossible, but it remains unlikely.

It would be an easy pass if it was any other combiner team at that price point as I would rather have a second switch console so I could play Animal Crossing New Horizon with my wife but Seacons is my favorite team of Transformers so I grudgingly pre-ordered from Hasbro Pulse.

Mass release Studio Series Devastator is US MSRP $260 ($32.5 per each of the eight figures) vs US Hasbro Pulse MSRP $235 ($39.17 per each of the six figures) for limited, imported, sexier, and exclusive Seacons.

Why is nobody offended by the pricing for Studio Series Devastator? :p

Because in the past we could get a CW combiner for closed to $150 US and SS Devastator in 8 toys over two years, not 5 in a few months.

Did BBTS ever get their thing sorted out.

I do still have my pre-order.

most likely not since they never put the other 4 up for pre order and they have yet to send out any updates on the matter

that’s why I made the paranoid decision to preorder the first two from ohmyprimus while they still had them

I preordered elsewhere too as a backup. I do think BBTS will honor those orders that were made during that short preorder period. I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up ordering from someone else and will use that to fulfill their orders.

I guess I would be out of sorts if I bothered collecting Studio Series figures. Then again I bought 2 Unicrons.

Oh there are plenty offended, just have to check the SS threads :)

I’ve picked up two of each of the SS Constructicons, and I have the Seacons on order at two different places, just in case. So I’ll likely end up with two sets of those as well.

Not interested in SS devy, and seacons are my favorite combiners, so to hell with the price. Whereas I wouldn't even buy SS devy if someone offered me it for $1per figure. Value is in the eye of the beholder.

I'm ACTUALLY surprised they ended up making the Seacons in their own. I remember all the speculation during CW, that Takara stopped with UW but we all wanted a better breastforce.(liokaiser)
