that first pose...he's strutting like "yeah, I know I'm the bee's knees"
You probably have it set to Singapore currency. Change it to US
Remember, hasbro msrp doesn’t apply to these, Takara msrp does, $60 for voyager, $35 for deluxe
I ended up pre-ordering all of them since I've been wanting a Piranacon since 2015. But damn is this set expensive. Hopefully the buyers remorse won't be too bad if the quality control is good at least.
I really can't make up my mind about these guys. I love the Seacons and the colours of these are really pulling at my G1 heartstrings, but they are so expensive for what they are, and the execution of some aspects are rather clumsy. I kinda wish they were a little more polished and a tad less re-tool-y.
Unicron has consumed my Transformers spending money and by the time I've saved some more dosh, I've a feeling MP Hound and Blackarachnia might take it. Hmm, first world collector problems... eat or buy moar Transformers?
Looks nice. I hope at least using both arms is enough for a few poses with a gun.
Countdown until someone makes a set of gun stands for my favorite part: artillery firing squad.
Correct. That is already inflated from what they should be.
Ah thanks. $239 is alot more reasonable. But still stings. Do they reliable ship to US?
... You could just only buy 5 of them. Your choice which.
No one is forcing you to purchase them.
This looks cool. And I love Masterforce. But I don't want this enough to pay $235. I bought the G1 reissue for $40. So I'll just stick with that.
Like with Unicron, that I also passed on, I'm at a point where I don't want to pay a hefty price for a new version of a character that I already have, even if it's an improvement.
The import cost is probably part of that. The other part (I had this conversation with another board member in another thread) is probably that they just cost more - more paint apps, limited runs (in this particular instance).
I've never used them, but I've read positive comments about them here on the forums. One user told me 11 lbs to ship each set from Singapor to England -that's about $14 per pair. Ouch. I don't know how that would translate to shipping costs to the States. And I don't know if he used the cheapest shipping method. *shrugs* I pre-ordred the first set from Action Robo (in Hong Kong) because I waited one day to many to hit the 'buy' button: you'd figure I'd be quicker on the uptake when it comes to pre-orders.
I'm actually in Canada so there might be subtle differences but I've always gotten my stuff within a week, maybe 2 weeks tops. My Star Convoy shipped Oct 8th, I had him in hand Oct 18th.
I thought the bad grammar and ridiculous suggestions made it obvious I was joking.
Kinda falls apart when there are people that post like that unironically...
Plus, not everybody is familiar with your posting style to make the distinction.
You got Piranacon for $40 too, huh? Awesome!
Man, I thought about that after I posted and I decided it was a safer bet it was a legitimate post just based on how whiny some people across the whole internet have been. I lose.
Did you write a bit of code that automatically responds with this every time someone complains about the price?
If not, gotta commend him for keeping the thread clean in that regard.
Hell no. I'm getting these as the Seacons I know, who can transform.
If you want useless combiner limbs that don't transform into robots and only into limbs, Power Core Combiners are there for you
haha nope, but maybe i should look into that
context is important though. what hasbro is selling them for is the same or cheaper than what takara is selling them for. that means that us in the states arent being charged extra just to import them. it also needs to be taken into consideration that these are heavy remolds with extra paint and extra accessories. those extras arent free.
