I whole heartedly agree with you about Victorion. I mean, I was one of the guys that voted for that colour scheme because all other colour combination options at that time looked to be much worse. The end result left much to be desired in my opinion. It's the prime reason I never picked up that set and left me with a void: I still wanted a female combiner but not Victorion.

Enter Orthia. With all the colours, minor mold changes, unique weapons and head sculpts, there is a lot this set offers. On her own, Lancer looked to be the worst of the girls. After looking at more images of her, I begun to appreciate her more as she offers a look most fembots don't feature. She's not the most attractive, and that's the best part! For me, she fills that average lady look missing from Transformers' model-esque look.

The pink look on Elita-1 may have helped break up the colours in the end. Maybe a box set is on the way, but I won't be down for that if I get this set as is. I'll keep my eyes open for a deluxe Elita-1for that.

Edit: I'm super interested in whether or not they'll complete Starscream now.

While I am still quite put off by Lancer\'s colors, as part of Orthia she doesn\'t look so bad.

Original colors, but wrong shades. The orange is brighter, and the purple is darker than the originals. The light purple was a pinkish white. Roughly speaking, they've over saturated the colors.

I know these are the official configurations for their limb modes, but I don't like the way they have all the forearms jutting forward. It looks much better to have them folded back at the very back of the cars. And it doesn't interfere with the combination or articulation.

What a few good paint apps do is evident when putting megatronia next to victorion. If I can ever pick up Megatronia somehow I will.
At Hasbro someone is clearly colorblind.

Here's what I settled on. More of a giant hand cannon pistol look, using the grenades as the handle. Sorry I don't have any good pew pew effect parts.:)

I'd probably be more excited about Orthia if she didn't have four identical limbs. Combiner Wars, this ain't. ¬_¬

Megatronia is totally worth the trouble. I have her. More appealing to the eyes and way more personality than the stoic, mono-coloured, Victorion.

That looks awesome. Can a Combiner hold her well enough?

I've only tried with perfect effect style hands which work fine. The weight+crappy Hasbro joints mean it's a two hand weapon. I'd imagine the stock hands should work via the double thumbs.

Just put her next to Victorion, your optics will explode from the skittleness.

I'm over the color and I can deal. But since I don't have Elita-1 (I have the flimsy MMC one), I'll never combine them. Nor ever planned to so I couldn't care less what that mode looks like.

That said, I can't wait for Lancer just for the sake of buying her.

Yet the combiner is based off the Combiner Wars design philosophy...

And I get the feeling this isn't the last time we have seen the fembots. Perhaps down the line they will get another version release that is more delicate. Since this is just a repaint set with new headsculpts. I wouldn't be surprised that Hasbro now realizes they have hit the goldmine in regards to the future of Transformers.
And we already saw it in the new Cybertron short series with Bumblebee and Windblade. Where there are multiple fembots like Slipstream and others. So who knows what we will get in the future.
