Flipped his legs around. Removed his tail, made it longer, and plug into the post in the feet. Doubles as a gun in bot mode. Gave him a mouth made from a spare G1 Seawing. Ends up as a codpiece in bot mode. Not so sure about the mouth, but it looks good in bot mode!

    Wait till you see it!

I still haven’t combined these guys even tho I’ve had all 6 now for a couple weeks. I wanted to get my pet peeves out of the way before truly enjoying them. Hope his mouth mod doesn’t get in the way for combined modes...

    Bunch more pix!!

swapped the legs around so they look more normal. Reattached using a wide head screw. Thinking of ball jointing it instead for more poseability.

Tail is now a detachable weapon. I didn’t like how the original was attached so low on the back of the manta. The new gun barrel is actually made from a G1 Seacon rifle stand, and the tail extension from a busted old G1 Seawing tail. It looks a bit rough. I’ll need to clean it up or add some detailing.

the mouth is from the same G1 Seawing. It’s attached on a double hinge under the manta head. I had to cut out a section in the torso to help allow the Manta head to rest more flush on the chest. Luckily I found out I could fit a piece of plastic behind it in the combiner port well.
Lemme know what you think. Thanks.

One more pic. Just checked arm/leg/gun mode and the jaw doesn’t interfere at all. Tucks neatly under the manta head.

I don't understand why the tail wasn't done like this originally. It's the same or fewer parts. Good job! The mouth is horrifying, but it works. Do the legs just unscrew or did you somehow remove pins and just add screws? If so, how do you remove them?

I get why they did the tail the way they did it, since cutthroat had a tail there already. But it sat so oddly in Manta mode. And instead they made a generic gun for him, even when he had 2 guns and a blade weapon already. Now he’s got more guns than anybody :D
And since it’s a cutthroat remold, and nobody has a brain, the legs went on the same way that they were on cutthroat. They are pinned on. I used a soldering iron to remove them(heat the pins with the iron, then pull the legs off). Then I just swapped them and reattached them with large head screws.

Gonna have to at least try the legs. Dunno if I can bring myself to mutilate the tail even as bad as it is...
