the reprolabels set has only like four stickers in it but they make a huge difference in the overall look. really completes him. i have the classics smokescreen but i feel like the cybertron one works better for me. i kinda prefer my datsuns to have different looks anyway.

 

Its a fine car mode, has wheels and everything but youd have to wonder how many iterations or revisions he went through. I just think there are a lot of design choices that severely impaired the figure and it was enough to put off some from making a purchase. I will buy it for sure and it does look better with the proper paint additions.

 

I would be extremely surprised if they didn't take the chance to give us a Delta Magnus/Powered Convoy from siege Magnus this time around. Still a little annoyed about us not getting Delta Magnus from CW Ultra Magnus.

why would you be surprised by this? they don't have a history of doing this. MP only did it for returns on their mold. they have a diaclone subline going on for collectors but hasbro doesn't do diaclone. or they rarely do.

everyone is so sure we'll get a delta magnus...yet we never do. at this point i'd be more surprised if we DO get it. we already have the reuse of the mold coming with galaxy prime. we're not getting a delta.

For me, Sunbow, followed by Toei's Japanese G1, is my Transformers. I don't follow IDW. I just want modern articulated figures based on my favorite cartoon era like EVERY cartoon era from Beast Wars on up has enjoyed.

The biggest thing for me is that I only have so much money to spend and I collect multiple toy lines. So if I have to choose between a Smokescreen that doesn't represent my favorite incarnation of Smoescreen or a Marvel Legends figure that absolutely nails the source material, like the upcoming X-Men wave, I'm going with whatever toy truly represents the source material.

I by no means wish to talk others out of liking these figures. Buy whatever you like. I'm just explaining why it's a pass for me.

 

See this is what gets me with whoever is in charge of colorblocking the Prowl mold. The bicep and thighs could have been molded in gray and that would have been it. I believe this is what Takara would have done. I hope i can improve Smokescreen "Takara" style

 

Or just wait for toyhax to make stickers for it?

 

I will be buying him, i just wish i had the means to make 3d parts for a better front lip, lower sideskirts, and a small spoiler. For sure toyhax labels will help.

Personally, I grew up with G1 but it’s the new, different and reinterpreted things that excite me. Something like MP44 is just not that interesting to me (even putting aside price). But I love that there is room for both perspectives - and others - in the fandom and on this site.

 

Still waiting for our CW Delta Magnus from either company :-(

 

Nice. I was pleasantly surprised by Prowl (expected to think he was just okay, ended up really fond of him), so I’m definitely up for getting all the repaints. And Smokescreen’s color scheme looks good on that alt mode, with the big swath of red and the white lines.

Sure, he could use a few more details, but I’m sure there will be label options out there.

 

I personally think Hasbro would be more apt to give us a Siege pre-Earth, pre-combiner version of Motormaster out of the Ultra Magnus mold than Delta Magnus. A gift set with Ultra Magnus as Motormaster, Chromia as Dragstrip, Sideswipe as Breakdown, and Smokescreen/ Prowl as Wildrider and Deadend would be awesome as far as I'm concerned. Being the initial soft reboot of the line, they wouldn't have to combine. If pre-Earth combiners are introduced in this trilogy, we would get new molds later on anyways.
