I do wonder what Hasbro's deal with game designs is, because based on things like reprint rights for comics etc it seems like Hasbro may retain the rights for those rather than the publishers of those comics, for example IDW is able to reprint the Marvel TF comics. That makes me suspect the way the contracts are written may mean that Hasbro retain the rights for any characters or designs from the games, assuming it's a similar scenario as the comics.

Or if they need to gang mold stuff as is believed to be the case for Ravage/Laserbeak, they could do a vs pack of Buzzsaw vs Steeljaw as a Ravage retool.

 

Since Netflix Soundwave comes with two cassettes, so should my wished for Marvel Comics repaint. So Marvel Soundwave with Marvel Ratbat and Buzzsaw sounds good to me.

 

If that happens, I just hope the plastic doesn't start yellowing within 6 months. Happened to mine; happened to a few folks I've seen on here who kept the figure in box, too.

 

I doubt Activision retained any sort of rights to the game designs, especially considering there is no activision branding on the old 2010 War for Cybertron or Fall of Cybertron boxes

Thanks, even looked at larger versions of the backs so I could make out the trademark info in the fine print, Activision wasn't mentioned at all, so it can be safely assumed that the games were work for hire and Activision retains no ownership.

 

The plastic on Netflix Earthrise Soundwave yellows?

I've not kept up to date with people discussing the figure, but I've not heard of that before. Looked for it here and I see what the problem is. I've got mine since february (and as said, still MISB in hopes of a Marvel deco release in Gen Selects) and as far as I can tell no issues with it.

 

Yep. On the upper legs and arm hinges. It's not yellow, per se, but the gray becomes noticeably discolored compared to the lighter gray on the forearms and feet. Happens with ER Megatron and (to a much lesser degree) Starscream as well.

 

Mine has had no yellowing, nor has Megatron or Starscream (2 others that it's happened to for some people)

 

Where is the toy deco releases for SS 86 Grimlock and Slag???!!!

 

What about Devcon from SS86 Scourge also?

It feels like gen selects lately has mostly been focused on doing characters that already shared molds with new figures. Characters like artfire from inferno, and the diaclone characters. Does anyone else feel this way? Am I noticing a pattern where there is none?
