Here’s what I’d like to see after the Seacons. Of course probably completely unrealistic, but hey, I can dream.

Have Takara take a swing at Liokaiser:

Obviously we would need two new molds:

Jallguar would have the combiner ports for the legs in the bottom of his feet, and then his legs would fold over the top in jeep mode to replicate his missile rack - plugging weapons into the combiner ports to complete the look.

Leozack would be slightly larger than the two arm jets and basically fold the front half of the jet down to form the chest, and the combiner ports for the arms would be on his robot mode shoulders (possibly covered with a flap in robot mode similar to Onslaught)

You would then have to have a unique connection to lock the two together solidly.

Killbison and Drillhorn from the UW nosecone rook remold.
Hellbat and Guyhawk can be the same as the CW release, but with the POTP plugin port on the chest.

All of the limbs would have the same little POTP plugin port that was used for the prime armors, except it would be used for their breast animals as well.

Those could be retooled/repainted from the spy patrol members, which already have a port that can plug into the prime armor:

• Lionbreast from Ravage with a new head (which could then be used for Steeljaw)
• Hornbreast from Ravage with a new head (which could then be used for Ramhorn)
• Hawkbreast from Lazerbeak
• Kōmoribreast from Ratbat (of course)
• Jaguarbreast from Ravage (of course)
• Bisonbreast from Ravage with new head

That's a lot of reuse from the Ravage mold, which isn’t the best, but if they have Blaster and his minions already in the works, I assume they would work similar to what we have got so far and then you could just use the Steeljaw and Ramhorn molds as noted above.

Lastly, new hands and feet similar to what they did for Piranacon.

 

I guess I'm the only one of the opinion that the Rook mold makes an absolutely garbage tankformer.

 

Probably not, but he's arguably a better tank then the actual one, in my opinion at least.

Don't know if anyone has suggested this or not, but I would like another go at combiners, similar to seacons, at some point in time.

Also Star Saber from Siege Jetfire would be dope.

 

I think after Metroplex gets his speculated Titan redo (next year?), Hasbro should just do new combiner sets at the Titan class size. Like they did with Predaking and Devastator. I’d love a nice collection of Titan size combiners.

That’s just my preference though.

 

I would have loved that too, but looking at the individual constructicons(don't know about predacons) I don't know if they can make good individual modes. Unless of course they use a lot more partforming, than usual.

 

The Constructicons (especially the UW ones) aren’t too bad but the Predacons are downright terrible. I vastly prefer the five deluxe/ one voyager Combiners...they may not tower over the other toys but they’re big enough IMO. And the individual team members are pretty damn great for the most part.

Yup. Constructicons turned out fine but the Predacons had really big compromises.

Hasbro and Takara wanted to accomplish two things with Predaking: No Partsforming and Great Combined Mode. They accomplished but it came at the sacrifice of really crummy alt-modes and so-so robot modes.

I get why they chose that and I’m 60% okay with it and 40% not okay but it is what it is.

 

If a mainline original mold release is impossible, I'd accept a remold

 

I'd hit this so hard, doubly so the Mechabot deco.

 

Fun idea: redecos of appropriate Micromasters as major characters like Optimus Prime, Megatron etc. I'm not sure of specific ones to use off hand but it would also be pretty cool for playing with Titans like Metroplex etc as the characters would be closer to being to scale to the Titan.

 

While not a perfect fit and highly unlikely for a ton of reasons, I’d be interested in a G2 Firestormer Blades from Spinster.

I actually don’t have Spinster (Schrodinger’s stock at Walmart), so maybe someone else has a good reason to veto this idea. I just know people are fond of the figure’s transformation and articulation. Additionally I like that Blades could have a more combat-oriented alt-mode rather the his typical medical copter look.

While on this topic, I’ll add that I think there might be some interest for non-combining versions of figures from other scramble-city figures. In fact, I think it’s a bit ironic that Transformers fans have nicknamed the combiners “gestalts” because it implies that the individual figures will never be good simply due to the fact that they are better combined. Maybe this is a subtle and unintended connotation to some, but it’s true meaning had always been there.

 

That would be a dream come true.
