Ok so we are getting a lot of G1 love in the coming months, which is awesome. But why is scoop getting a generations figure? There are still tons of more interesting characters to explore, and scoop to m doesn't compute. Can you guys make sense of this?

He was in the Botcon 2012 boxset comic.

It looks so similar to the original Scoop that when I first saw the pic I thought it actually was G1 Scoop.

He's a Wrecker. Wreckers are popular.
He's a leftfield choice (dual Targetmaster) homaging a part of the G1 toyline that hasn't been revisited in a mainline toy yet. Leftfield choices in Generations are popular.

Secretly/selfishly I would have wanted Generations Landfill, because I'm already using Cybertron Landmine as a stand-in for Scoop and Cybertron Quickmix to represent the Autobot double Targetmasters.

Maybe this is a signal that there will be Generations figures of later-day G1 figures-but instead of the "known" ones such as Thunderwing, Countdown, etc... maybe we will get Nightbeat, Vroom, Crossblades, Fixit, etc.... and perhaps even G1.5 figures like Ironfist and Black Omen....

You can't put out all A-list characters in wave after wave, you have to have minor/obscure characters, too, to keep the line going. Did Octane deserve a Classics before Jazz or Soundwave? Probably not, but if we got all the popular guys in one go in the first Classics or Universe 2.0 line, all we'd be getting now is scraps. Besides, generations is a celebration of all eras of Transformers.

I cannot properly articulate how down I'd be for a new Nightbeat, or Fixit.

    He should've been a Voyager.

Then again I feel like that for a lot of the upcoming Deluxes.

IMO the upcoming Megatron, Trailbreaker, Hoist, Armada Starscream, and Scoop should've been Voyagers but I guess that would've been too damn many at one time huh?:lol

Why should we question it? He looks pretty damn good. I hope they release more of the target masters.

Maybe we should have a "sub" Classics/Generations line called "Furmanations"

And yes, I would love to have both of them-no repaints though unless we are talking about a good mold to begin with....

Maybe Classics Jazz repainted into Nightbeat with a new head mold ?

With the nice blue and yellow flames it would look sweet....

I have another prediction regarding later-day G1 figures as well: the BH Terrorcons will be repainted as Monstructor and sold as a gift set. You just know Hasbro has been thinking about this since these just came out....

This. I also agree that I would be more down for a landfill, but not sure why. Too bad they did sinister for botcon recently.
