Hmmm, I wonder if it might just be better to swap the whole rear end of the car out at the ball joint. I know the red is a different shade between the two versions but I don't have a soldering iron OR a steady pair of hands! :lol

It looks like if you were to swap out the back half of the car, on top of being different shades, the red part won't line up either.

Yeah, I noticed that. Whilst I normally love the chrome of the Henkei figures, I just think it does not suit Red Alert AT ALL. Same with Sideswipe, which I why I got the Universe version witht he solid red spoiler.

I can accept that there is no completely accurate version of RA, I was just hoping to mix and match parts to make one I was happy with. Maybe I'll just flip a coin.

    Two screws.

Did some part swapping, I forgot to do the crotch, have to swap it out later. Now to just make this brunette(Black whatever, just go with it)a redhead. Will update later...

Got Red last night. Since I already have Henkei Red Alert I planned onswitching the fists and have the body face the Sunstreaker direction. Only thing I was a little conced about was the light bar ending up on the chest but actally I think it looks really cool! I'm using it now as my Classics Clampdown (even though I realize Clampdown was a police car ;) )

But as for thoughts about the actual toy, mine was in great shape. a couple small scratches across the car hood but nothing you can't see unless you look really close at it. Otherwise everything is nice and tight. In much better shape than my Universe Sideswipe actually.

It's hit or miss. In some versions of the mold I have it's very stable once clipped.

    Lightbar sucks.

They could have at the very least cave him a red helm instead of just leaving it black *facepalm*

My Red Alert one shoulder is floppy, slouchy. I tightened the screw but no effect.

    And the roof popped off.

The lightbar is not totally solid, it is a little transparent.

The dark gray plastic is sparkly.

All of the Lambos engine side pieces are asymmetrical still.

Sorry to hear about that, bro. I think could be an isolated problem?
My Red Alert is nicely tight in all the joints and nothing flops. He is so much better than my Sunny and Sides (both are a floppy mess)

How well does the red match up on Generations RA's arms with the red on Henkei RA? I ask because I want to swap the arms.

Got mine today. The colors are quite nice in person (I still kinda wish for a red head for variety from Sideswipe, but the character looks nice like the way he is), and the joints are nice and tight... maybe even better than my original Sunstreaker!

Just wanted to say, this is my 4th version of this mold. This was the first one for me that had no QC problems. Legs and arms are tight and stay where they should. Colors are great and the combo gun actually combines fairly well. Very impressed. Best version of the mold I own. Wish my Punch held together this well......
