One of the most awesome ways I've seen it displayed. From Hobbybase in HK.

He does make Fort Max look...lanky, in comparison, which I didn't think possible.

You can. Just slide the cover slip off (cutting any tape in the process) and slide out the cardboard piece holding the instructions and sticker sheet. He has no true "back" packaging so you can inspect both the front and back of SDCC Metroplex without actually removing himfrom the packaging.

    That's awesome!

    Jeez those pics look awesome.

It is almost ironic that Not-SixShot and this guy are released in the same month (if you read the Metrplex IDW spotlight).

TRU MP-10 is the best money I've ever spent on a Transformer. Prolly helps that I am a G1 Optimus fanboy, but that set is all kinds of epic.

▲ Man that display kicks all kinds of ass ▲

Here's one I took before taking the whole setup down.

Hope it'll help give those who haven't seen him in person an idea of just how massive this guy really is...

Still can't quite wrap my head around that. Herc's already a freakin' monster in his own right, and he only comes up to Metro's waist. That's nuts.

Good job on the painting! Looks sweet!

By the way are there any differences between the SDCC and TakaraTomy versions? I'm kinda confused with all these variants! X)

I need this toy in my life.

So the only difference between SDCC and Hasbro vanilla is the chrome on the thighs and face and the extra gun? So what differences exist between Takara and Hasbro? Or do we not know?

Takara has different paint than hasbro (such as the thighs being grey/black and the center light having white around it instead of black)

Ok but what about the SDCC versions and HK editions? Are they the same as Takara's?

Wow that is amazing- I'm late to the painted face party. I was disappointed that I didn't get a SDCC metroplex but now I'm quite happy because I think the painted face you did is much better than the chrome face. It looks more 'natural' and the way metroplex looks on the box art!

Do I need to use the sealer or am I good with just two light coats of the testors aluminum plate?
