These two have got to be my fav IDW renditions of the characters to date. I hope we get Leaders close to these designs.

 

But will Legends Tailgate actually be as tall as Leader Megatron's knees?
(I'm really hoping that Leader Megatron isn't wildly too big)

 

I wouldn't worry about that. It seems that this new "leader class" is more comparable to what was previously ultra rather than huge stuff like ROTF Prime for example. If you look at the pics of leader Jetfire near voyager Skybyte, he is bigger, but not monstrously so. Sizing will be pretty great for...leaders

Yeah, here's hoping. It's a subtle change, not an overt redesign.

 

The subtle changes could be done to better match up with a (theoretic) toy. I don't think the design is a subtle change, it looks as subtle as Ations/AHM to ongoing.

 

that is an awesome optimus design. somebody please make that and do a fantastic job please!! i like that prime has a mecha feel to him again. i have an like orion but he is NOT that.

 

i think someone just needs to make a body colored cover for the faux cockpit. that'd complete the look for me and perhaps if it could store somewhere or act as a shield in bot mode that would be swell.

i do think this jetfire will sell like hotcakes and that there will be 3rd party accessories galore (g1 jetfire head scuplt anybody? toon accurate booster pack? toy accurate booster pack? toon rifle? etc etc etc. ) its literally a gold mine.

No kidding...good price though. Tempted to pull the trigger, but the other online sites shouldn't be too far behind, and he'll get the brick mortar treatment too?
