I bought the vogager classics skyfire a year or so back for my boy and he loves it . But hes only 5 and he has broken off the antennas so Ill let him beat it up some more and maybe in two years or so Ill give him this new one to replace the one he currently loves. So happy I dont have to find a replacement at the cost they go for LOL

I don't know what we did to deserve this, that looks just absolutely amazing. ~ not 100% sure it'd have been my choice since they already did a pretty kickass version of Jetfire in Classics, but he's my 2nd favorite character so i will buy the crap out of this for sure.

and i am so, so stoked to see this is a new mold and not a retread of the ROTF Jetfire, since that means Megatron will probably be all-new G1 as well  

 

i wouldn't count on a G1 megatron.. there's no way they're going to release a transforming gun that would look anything close to how megatron looked.

i would say G2 megatron.. or maybe a comic inspired megatron.. i absolutely LOVE the deluxe IDW megatron.. so i wouldn't mind if it was an upscaled, more detailed version of that design. but i'm very curious to see what it is.

i wonder if we'll find out during toy fair.. or if they'll focus mainly on AOE figures, which i think is more likely.

 

Actually we did nothing but maybe Hasbro do listen to our wishes which is good.

Anyways, figure looks really nice but...I mean I think I'd rather just get a nice valkyrie or something, I'm sure this will be more durable, but just not as impressive as them IMO.

Which makes me happy..IDW Megatron used to have a different tank design in the past (with his threads folded behind his back, in Stormbringer I think?) but I like this one better.  

 

Not trying to be a hater here but we already have a Classics Jetfire. Why not use that leader space on somebody else that hasn't had a figure or better yet, make him Skyfire instead?

 

The robot mode *is* skyfire.

 

This design is awesome but leader size will be too big I think.

 

What makes you say that? Skyfire/Jetfire has always been one of the larger Autobots, especially in Season 1. He's constantly been shown as being bigger than Prime.

 

It's as G1 as it can get and not be a hassle for Hasbro to sell, I can't wait to see it.

Not anymore we don't. The pure awesomeness of this figure just retconned that awful pretender to the name out of existence, as far as I'm concerned.

 

In fairness, Classics Jetfire is a pretty average figure that looks decidedly dated. Personally I'm very happy with this mold (at least from the current photos) as it does a nice job paying homage to both Skyfire and Jetfire while looking pretty good in both modes.
