Hey guys. This might be my worse or meh custom/heavy scratch/ work of art yet.... and I haven't done that many....

Here we have Generations Ironhide and Ratchet. And boy are they a mess. They may not look like it, but let me explain. I wanted to remove those detailed flaps you see in the window so the heads can be straight. I wanted to remove them so they wont get in the way of the spine. Sadly I didn't have the tools for removing the pin where the bumper is, so I improved by what I had. It includes a lot of breaking plastic.

Now sometimes straighten up the pelvis area, but there's like this... small piece in the crotch that makes Ironhide and Ratchet look... well lets just say I turn the pelvis around. I think it looks better, but now the legs. What I did was that I screwed the legs off and rearranged them. What do you guys think. Here we have Ratchet without the changes to the legs and pelvis, Ironhide with the changes, the tools and such. Doesn't look good does it. Oh well I was thinking of getting the henkei (cartoon accurate versions) anyway. So if anyone knows how to remove the blasted pin where the bumper is, please tell me. Tell me the tool(s) that I need. Please feel free to comment and critique. And if you can, please give me options on 3rd Party Ironhides and Ratchets I should get. I hope there aren't ones that are MP quality, though that TFC Ironwill looks like a balance between voyager and MP. So please, tell me what you think.

For removing pins I use a thin screwdriver with a flat star shaped head of a set I bought for disassembling laptops. First figure out on which side of the pin the part with the friction is and then just knock it out.

I got the GDO Ironhide. It's a recolor/repaint of the one above. I recommend that one or the SIEGE versions of him and Ratchet. 3rd party-wise I'd go for Planet X's or Shapeshift Inc.'s versions - I just love Cybertronian alt modes.

Seige versions beat the crap out of this mold any day. I hated that mold, so that's the route I would take

Yeah, the Siege versions are perfect for a Classics collection. Unfortunately there aren't any 3rd party versions that fit as well as they do. They are either too large and MP scale or too small an Legends scale. But I'd recommend the Siege ones, especially if you have a Walgreens in your area, the Ratchet is floating around there now.

Thanks, I'll see what I can find/do. Any recommendations for earth mode vehicles?

The robot modes look cool, which there was a way to make the vehicles more earth like. Yes, yes I'm picky.
