Now that we've seen photos of Generations G1 and Armada Megatron, which one are you getting? My first instinct would have been G1 Megs, but I realize that I already have Henkei Megs, which I really like, and I might get Armada Megs instead because I don't have any toy of the character. What about you?
Neither. I don't really care for G1 Megatron's original design, so pass on him. I like Armada Megs' original design, but this toy looks like they just shoehorned some of his features onto a G1 Megatron toy, so pass on him too.
G1 looks better in robot mode, but the extra paint apps in Armada look way better than G1 in tank mode. (G1 tank needs more detail/color to break up the silver.) I'll probably go G1, but transform the tread back kibble like Armada to make him closer to IDW.
Why isn't anyone more excited for the G1 Megatron? It's as close to a new Masterpiece as we're probably gonna get for a while since it's Leader Class.
I want to like the Armada version, but it shouldn't have been...this. It's a downgrade from the original design and figure. I'm already planning on getting the G1 version, so I'm certainly not going to double-dip for a half-hearted remold that I won't be happy with. I'd rather kitbash the legs on a spare Armada Megs body instead.
