It's not exactly how I'd copy that effect, as the original has it as a sort of 'kirby krackle' whereas the new art seems to do it more as circles rather than dots, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's what it is.

I just grabbed SS86 Blaster like two weeks ago, but I’d absolutely grab a comic deco’d version with a new head. Hasbro will (rightfully) prioritize other characters, but I hope they get to Blaster.

I have both comic figures on preorder which I can't wait to get. They will be probably be my last versions of both characters.

I also hope we get straxus complete with life support bubble and megatron with either a gold chest or black bucket head. A purple soundwave and hot rod would also be nice.

Fantasy time I'd love a galvatron v deaths head two pack from wanted galvatron but I know deaths head would be tough to get done. Emirate Xarron would also be a great figure to get.

I just hope we get a lot of comic book inspired figures. I'd be in for all.

Went ahead and got a PO in, despite having heard about the SS86 PR being due at some point. I definitely prefer the look of the SS, but I needed the swords and didn't want to chance not having a Grimlock at all.

Didn't Marvel Legends do a Death's Head (and Death's Head II?) awhile back? I guess they wouldn't scale super well, actually.
Unless they did them in 3 3/4" line as well even farther back?

Yes, the 3.75" is the one I have, from I believe 2014.

Also pre-ordered Comic Grimlock and Shockwave at Pulse (EU)

But I'll admit it's with much hesitation and more a safety purchase and to encourage further comic releases. Even during the pre-order I realised that Grimlock's price is about the same as the New Age Comic Grimlock was, and that I think is a much better figure and even a better deco. But I also like to have different moulds and I've never experienced the ss86 Grimlock figure. Still very hesitant.

And Shockwave, as much as Marvel Shockwave is for me the definitive version of Shockwave, I really dislike the cell art shading.

Ordered Grimlock, Cybertron Hotshot, and Sideburn from Pulse(the others elsewhere). I have the SS86 Grimlock and the g2 Cheeselock, so unsure why I preordered, but it looks too good to pass up.

Woot, Grimlock PO'd. Funny how the only mainline releases I've been pumped about lately are dinobots, lol.

I set up my p.o. last night.

I'm not normally a fan of the cell shades figures, but Grimlock seems to pull it off rather well.

If you’re looking at making figures of Marvel Comics characters, Blaster is someone you prioritize over an Optimus at this point. Dude fought both Straxus and Grimlock, and was more of a focus in the comic at the beginning than Prime, who was dead for like two years of the run.

If the fourth figure isnt Blaster, Hasbro is either pretty dumb or there is more coming.

Which, cmon, keep more coming. Megatron, Ratchet, Galvatron, Soundwave, Starscream, all easy iconic repaints. Get crazy and make a new voyager / leader sized Scorponok.

As long as they aren't in a double/triple pack, I'd be game.

So tired of these multi figure packs.

I'd still like a yellow eye, black helmet Megatron, but I want them to wait until we get a new mold, I do NOT want another Siege/Earthrise usage.

I mean, I did catch myself adding up what I'd pay for the swords individually with shipping and the crown and deciding it was worth it. My saved cart on Nonnef's site was around $60.
