I still preferred the Takara Superion, but can't justify buying it just for some white fists and a slightly better paint job on Silverbolt, but I will be pissed I don't get a Slingshot. I've still got AlphaB but he'll seem less cool as soon as Blades takes the mould back.

people who want complex transformations and are against new characters are the minority. i think all of hasbro's aerial bots look better than the takara versions except for silverbolt.

 

no i do i'm just saying new things aren't a bad idea and new characters aren't either. there is thread upon thread of people complaining "oh ANOTHER optimus ANOTHER starscream why can't we get anything new?!" now we got someone new "oh god why can't we get the OLD characters why do we have to have someone new?!" that's what makes me say it's petty. the same people become hypocritical of character releases when it suits them in our fandom.

alot of people have said alpha bravo is a great figure ,perhaps the best and most fun of wave one so far, despite not being the classic screen filler that was G1 slingshot and likely this guy will be the same. dont buy it..or buy it dont combine it... that's CLEARLY your choice but we're squandering the opportunity for new characters to breathe new life into the franchise just because it's not the same ol shit. also, there are leaks about a CW slingshot and wildrider so you have your G1 team. there's still no reason to point your nose up at the thought of a new character.

 

Definitely the weakest of what has been shown thus far from the first two waves IMO. Just a little jumbled and the forearms/hands are a bit off for my liking. Still good/fun figures, but imagine how great some of these characters would be with the technology of 2008.

 

Offroad looks fantastic, I hope Offroad has a great personality.

The sad thing that was who he was supposed to be designed as in mind, i'm still sad that they just didn't make him one. I hope we see a repaint of Offroad as him.

I was actually thinking this figure was more akin to a Generations Crankcase than Ruckus. True, his face is green like G1 Ruckus and it has Ruckus's basic build, but his colors are Crankcase's with some liberties taken and the vehicle mode is a truck, just like Crankcase. I'd like to see a digibash of the CW First Aid in Crankcase colors, that I feel would be spot on.

 

I know it'll never happen, but he could be painted blue and white and give us a G1 Strongarm (based on RID15).

I'm liking him. Honestly if I can't find Wildrider I might just call Offroad Wildrider. Hey 4 wheel drive does mean you can drive crazier.

And I like the Scramble style. You can mix things up, and you aren't utterly boned if you can't find one member from a team.

never say never man....a few years back we were NEVER getting a giant G1 devastator....now it's only a few months away.

i think a strongarm could work from this but i think a new torso/head is in order. maybe to do away with the combiner gimmick all together for it. have the torso work similar to the nuRiD figure. i still like that figure and she's proudly on my chug autobot shelf since i dont plan on getting much more than her from the RiD line. she fits well i think.
