And, start out by updating the most popular version of each of the primary Season 1 characters. I think a fan vote would be in order. If that goes well, they could expand the line from there.

True story. I'm G1 to the death...but BW needs more attention and certainly deserves it. As advanced as many of the original toys already are, I think it will be challenging to improve on them. I'd love to see what they might come up with.

 

In all likelihood, they'd probably use the name Beast Wars for a potential line. We saw it mysteriously appear on the side of the TR Siege on Cybertron boxset:



But as Titans Return underwent a name change, you never know.

 

I'd like to see the treatment some of the movie designs habe gotten...
I think a mainline could give is near perfect Transmetals, the originals are so close already there's just a few things like scale and face sculpts that bother me. Sprinkle these figures into what ever line is currently going.

Transmetal Megatron. Give POTP Optimal an adversary and also give us a TM Megatron that's bigger than the original Ultra toy Megatron and Inferno.

@GALVATOM Yeah, Hasbro shouldn't be scared of a new TM2 Megatron mold. He's got plenty of redeco options. Cryotek, Deathsaurus, BWII Galvatron, RID Megatron and Galvatron...

 

I think there needs to be some current fiction to get familiarity with these names, have some of the Preds show up in the current kids shows if cyberverse is gonna follow this monster of the week format the Nu RiD did. And have everyone at Machamania shipped off to Mars so they can't touch it

 

That's the key. Fiction to back up the toys.

Since the current BW MP's are organic only I'd prefer the next one to be Blackarachnia or Airrazor.
Tarantulas would be cool too, but I prefer him and Megatron in their TM versions.

 

Beast Era would be a good line title, or Beasts Return. Maybe Beasts Rising. Lots of good ideas.


What I hope for from a full line BW update is that it sells. So when they throw some awkward repaints in the line to save on mold cost, or if a toy was historically a repaint but you'd rather them remold it: GET IT ANYWAY!!!!!! All of us naysayers want to be proven wrong when it comes down to it, so make sure you buy the stuff. And convince every soccer mom you see to buy the stuff. Every person you think may be even a TOUCH nostalgia nerd on the inside. EVERYONE who could be convinced. Because what I ultimately want from a BW Generations line is for it to not shelfwarm.

 

Basically refusing to accept Universe Cheetor as existing.

 

Original 14 characters. Transmetals heavy design influence with more of the early CHUG style design tinkering. I don’t think they can blend into a line well without mechanizing their beast modes and taking design liberties.

I think the show authentic aesthetic would only work well for Masterpiece or a strictly BW line. I think you probably have to bend them into a Dinobots or Predaking aesthetic for a mixed line.

 

As a wish fulfilment 'light of fancy' thread and not really about what we think is sensible or likely. The option I would go for is:

Updates for ALL the Show Characters and Designs from all 3 Seasons AND Beast Machines.

Sadly that is not present.

For me IF there were to be a Beast Era line under the Generations moniker I'd like it to cover the entire story from beginning, Beast Wars Season 1 Episode 1, to the end Beast Machines Season 2 Episode 13. I'd be happy for it to be further reaching than that too, cover non show characters, delve into BW2 and Neo, etc etc..there are loads of cool ideas to be exploited. however for me its all about that story and those characters.

I also don't think this is ever going to happen.

 

Now that's my kind of thinking.
I'd love a dedicated legend scaled toyline updating the entire BW and BM toylines.

 

In terms of a name for the line, something not confusing would be great. Transformers has a bit of a bad history for this, we've got two lines called RiD, Cyberverse and Universe that are totally unrelated lol. Armada is a good name, titles like Energon, Cybertron and Prime I find too vague as those are words that should be thrown around a lot in any series. "Did you get the new Prime from Prime" "How about that Energon Energon Strongarm?" We start to sound like Shrapnel haha. Lets go with "Generation 3" Finally, or something like the titles from your comics @Verno like "Decide" that seems like a hard hitting title to me.

That's how I feel about looking for Power of the Primes figures on Amazon. 'Prime' is a common Transformer term AND a pre-existing toyline, then 'Power' gives me a lot of random electronics. And don't even get me started on words like "of" and "the"!

Hell, I'd go with "Feral Fisticuffs" as a line name for the sake of not confusing it with the original BW! XD
