Yknow, they may just fanmode it and just switch the hands with the feet. That would give it the taller silhouette without the large hands, as weaponozers are useful like that. Im pretty sure the trex feet as legs are feasible, as I was contemplating it for a super mode once. The pegs might match up based off videos

With all the chat of Titans being phased out and the potential for more Commander class figures going forward, it's worth having a look at what Beast Wars has up it's sleeve. Where do you see our Big Boys slotting in regarding Leader class versus Commander class figures?

    Magnaboss
    Tripredacus
    TM Rampage
    TM Depth Charge
    TM Megatron
    TM Optimal Optimus
    TM2 Megatron
    TM2 Tigerhawk

Of the ones you posted, I'd really want a Commander Class Transmetal II Megatron. The dragon, the colors and the fact it's TWO Megatrons in one make for a scary combination, and I think with modern engineering, Hasbro could pull it off quite well.

As for the others, the first Transmetal Megatron would be a Leader, along with Rampage and Depth Charge. The others would need Commander Class toys in order to have the parts to pull off beast modes, individual robot forms and whatever the third form would be, if they had one.

I feel like Optimal, TM2 Megatron and Tigerhawk could be a Titan boxset where they're all Commander-sized, and Rampage and Depth Charge could be a Commander boxset where they're both bigger than Leaders (could toss in a Transmutate if there's room left at the price point).

    For mine...

    Leader Class:

    Transmetal Megatron
    Transmetal Rampage
    Transmetal Depth Charge
    Transmetal 2 Megatron
    Transmetal 2 Tigerhawk

    Commander Class:

    Transmetal Optimal Optimus

Should they come about, Magnaboss and Tripredacus could be interesting cases. I could see Hasbro going back to a Combiner Wars approach, with the individual components sold separately -- perhaps one Voyager figure and two Deluxe figures making up the combined form.

I know scale matters less and the less the larger the characters are, but the size difference between TM Megatron and Rampage is about the same as the size difference between Megatron and Rattrap, so the concept of both being the same size is one I'm a little wary of.

Being honest i think they should give us an armada unicron and cybertron primus before titans are gone, g1 unicron is different in design to his armada counterpart for example his wings are not in the shoulder ect

Indeed. Hasbro have set a potentially difficult task in terms of scale for themselves by making S1 Megatron a Leader class.

With three Leader class figures and maybe two Commander class figures (if Titans are being phased out) per year, Beast Wars could easily gobble those up very quickly given the characters we have to do. For a character like BW Megs, they may look at his different designs less in terms of a physical upgrade but simply a change in look.

I list Op Op as the only potential BW Commander because of the extra size, the four-mode conversion, Matrix carrying and we've seen how shit a Leader class Op Op is.

A little bit of extra size aside, do the others really warrant a Commander to be done well? I didn't think so at this point, but my attitude may change when I get a new Leader class figure in hand and can get a sense of what can be done at the price point.

I think Commander TM2 Megatron would only be fitting to go head to head with Optimal. They were rather close in size in the show. Megatron was slimmer but had wings, a large tail, and the dragon neck, whereas Optimal was beefed out as all hell. The rest could easily be Leaders, I imagine. Depth Charge and Tigerhawk weren't as comparable to Optimal, but they were still large in show, so Leaders fit them quite nicely

Tigerhawk was only minimally smaller than TM2 Megatron, like half a head shorter at most

My hope for new versions of TM2 Megatron and Tigerhawk is that they do away with the half-assed third modes. No weird wheels, no unneeded visor. Just beast to robot.

Quickstrike and Silverbolt. They're more organic than robotic, so would better fit in a line like Kingdom with it's mixed approach, rather than your standard, robotic-only Transformers line. But as far as we know, they won't be in Kingdom.

Plonked in a 'standard' line, they'd certainly stand out, whether that would work in their favour or not is hard to tell. However, with the likes of Tarantulas, Terrorsaur and Inferno also missing from Kingdom, the organic contingent within a future line could be bolstered so as to not stand out -- it would simply be another mixed line like Kingdom.

Add in the likes of Polar Claw, Wolfang and Razorbeast (which, along with Kingdom Tigatron, also gives the potential for retools as the four G1 Pretender Beasts) and you've got a strong organic line-up.

    2 beast wars S1 people in W2

Polar Claw is cut, was supposed to be Scorpanok’s nemesis (in the veins of d Bumblebee and Barricade, Optimus and Megatron), and was supposed to be repainted as Barbearian in selects. It may be in a post WFC release like P/CP but it’s slim.

Any idea how far along Polar Claw made it before he was cut? Is he like Earth Mode Sideswipe, where he was all but ready to release or did he get cut too early on for much design work in him? If the former I would think that would be more likely for a PCP style release
