So, Nyx, a new bat-bot. She looks to be borrowing from the design of the original Optimus Primal bat design, which is cool. It would be a nice way to give the design a new figure, just put a new name on it. Older fans know what it represents, but newer fans just have a cool bat to play with. It would be nice to see the Megatron crocodile design get a similar treatment.

Beast-head becomes the bot-chest. Wings remain on the back. Potential extensive retool of Kingdom Airazor perhaps?

 

So if what @Pixelmaster has told us is (sadly) accurate and that Tarantulas, Inferno and Terrorsaur won't be seen in Kingdom but could be seen post-2021 if sales of Beast Wars figures are strong, could that open the door for the Polar Claw figure that was scrapped, as well as some other non-show figures? Three organic Predacons would need some organic Maximals to fight against...

I know, I know. I thought this thread had served it's purpose, too, but Hasbro holding characters ransom hadn't even filtered into my thinking.

 

If Kingdom sells well I expect Beast Wars to be treated like G1. They'll be a yearly mainstay, with groups of related characters being spread out over multiple years.

 

I'm a little disappointed that they're doing this, but I can't say I'm much surprised. My disappointment stems from not getting Inferno, who has been on my want list since I tumbled down the rabbit hole of Transformers way back in the 90s. They've done the drip, drip, drip with G1, to keep fans interested, so I expected no different with the Beasts. While it would be nice to finish off the season 1 guys in one fell swoop, I'm optimistic that we won't have to wait as long to finish up the crew as a whole.

To your point about the Predacons needing someone to fight against, I say there's two candidates out there right now to face off against them and you named one. The other would be the new character created for the comic, Nyx, who seems garnered a modest "first impression" following. Just from glancing at the new Primal, they might be able to pull of a B'Boom retool to make three, if they're going by 3 vs. 3.

All three seasons should have toy updates. Not a question.
Should have happened YEARS ago tbh, can't believe they made people wait so long.

Also Rhinox, Waspinator and Rattrap are a waste of plastic since they have all already been upgraded already and odds are very low modern cheap Hasbro would surpass those figures. They should have used those spots for the rest of the S1 cast.

Bit unsure of what this means. You mean some BW characters/toys not in S1 are the Selects toys, or do you mean we're only getting S2/S3 characters as repaints of the Kingdom mainline?

Nope, more in the lines of Megatron being repainted into T Wrecks. Hasbro can slack at repaints, but it won't be as bad as Quickstrike from Scorpanok
