I would assume it's when Megatron lays down on the ground and opens his chest plate for Hook to install the Heart of Cybertron.

Wow! Thanks so much, Liampope and Deruji! This is a real treat, I've been hoping someone would translate all of this and share it with the community. It's great to read about the design aspects that were considered and the challenges faces. Just based on the information in these writings, it seems like they've struck a good balance between the level of detail in MP-10 and the cartoon-accurate look.

I see also the use of the word "silver" describing the color of some of Megatron's parts (rather than gray). I'm wondering, was that just how Deruji decided to translate or could this be a hint that Megatron's paint will have a metallic quality to it?

"Newly produced Megatron that the whole world has been waiting for"......damn straight! The whole world has been clamouring for it. This thing will break records. I love the attention to detail in every aspect of the figure. Absolutely amazing work.

Actuaully it did not take much prodding :)  and thanks again to Liampope for donating the magazine.

The line in the drawing above Optimus's head suggests that his height is meant. In that sense he is slightly bigger.

That's how it was written with the katakana version of the word. I try to avoid any free translations or interpretations which are not in the actual text.

A note on page 9: There is some smaller text missing, due to the actual physical resolution of the printed page not being sufficient to display the kanji at that size e.g. something like 難 would just appear like ■ in the magazine. Even the Japanese I have asked had trouble reading the text. So those texts could either not be translated or whatever was legible was insufficient for any coherent meaning.
Hopefully Takara will release these pages a at a larger size in the future.

Furthermore, page 9 mentions Mita Kōmon in relation to the Key of Vector Sigma. This is what is meant:

Go to 1h 29m 14s if the scene does not show.

    "Thighs should be seductive." Mmm...
Seriously, this is a really nice translation and a fascinating read. Definitely makes me more excited for MP-36, even if the paint job might not quite be what I want!

Yes, many thanks. This is a great read. You have to love how they work. Also it can be appreciated how they are trying to make them better action figures. He is a work of art. I really hope the quality lives up to the design because if it does, he will never be bested.

Nope, still not a big fan of this. From the side, his chest looks really weird, the crotch and the legs are malformed, and his faces are honestly TOO cartoony. The previous MP Megs had the perfect face, a mix of the G1 toon and toy, plus his alt mode wasn\'t a crisscrossed mess of panels.

If your one of those people who puts figure facing wall looking at back side of toy most people will not like this since back have hollow shoulders

Thank you both for making this happen! I love all the insights we glean from this stuff and seeing the attention paid to every little detail.

One thing I found very interesting, is they TWICE pointed out that the gun mode differs from the G1 toy in that it's an anime replica, not a real world P-38. I wonder if they do plan to move away from real world alt modes altogether and just focus on their toon representations? I'm fine with this for Megs. And I'm cool if guys like Optimus and the seekers are just real world-ish and not actual licensed vehicles. But if they start doing car bots with only toonish features (a la Inferno's toon-style grill), I would most certainly not enjoy that.

Anyway, just found it interesting that they really seemed intent on calling that out.
