I was comparing their forearm just kibble/bulk

GT is maybe, slightly better (does also look like they're cramming a lot of backpack on him)

Still less awkward than G1's upper arm bulk

I hope so. I don't think this set has been selling very well though.

The only issue I have is that the quality of the plastic used in the members isn't that high. Feels brittle and easily breakable.

I had their Sarge once and he felt fine. I've heard that Blades was problematic, and I never owned the other two.

Yeah, I'd venture to guess a big part of that is due to the stupid long time to actually get this far.

You can see the same thing starting to happen in the FT Aerial Bot and Stunticon threads

Did they purposely leave off one of the "spotlights" so that it wouldn't hide the combiner face in every pic?

Stubbornly not admitting that "face frame" has looked bad since day one.

They are not the same thing. Yes, FT at the minimum should have finished the Stunticons this year, but that set has sold very well, whereas GT never had to reissue any of the limb bots. Additionally you can always get the DX9's Stunticon or XTB's if you don't want to wait for FT's, and similarly you can always get Zeta Toys' Superion.

    I have em already ;-)
And still getting the FT stuff too. I'm not in a hurry.

GT never has and never will have the same draw as FT.

I was simply stating a point that the TF fandom in general has an "I want it now" mindset. That definitely hurt this set. In addition to a few other factors.

Blades is a bit squishy but okay, have a few malformed parts on him. First Aid is a bit more, I have small pieces breaking off. Nothing critical fortunately.

Could also say the same thing about this set and YesModel's OSKO Maketoys Defensor. Both are the same height, though neither is G1.

Could be one of the reasons, since YesModel has long since finished theirs, even though their Hotspot took a while also.

I'm kinda planning on that. But luckily, we will get Bruticus at the same time.

Not my thing but this looks cool!

The giant motorbikes on this and MMC's set really bug me though! XTB, the set I'm probably into, haven't shown their's with any other figures yet, but I guess it can' really be much better, if any. Dang!

True, but then the original Maketoys set wasn't the biggest seller either. Non G1 figures will simply not have the same draw as their G1 counterparts.
Oh well, I am still looking to get this set eventually in some form. I need an Autobot combiner to stand up against my GT Black Devastator and TFM Menasor.

Groove will ALWAYS be the odd duck of this if they're sticking to the original line up.

Maybe someday someone like Cang Toys or someone will give a MP-size, but stylized set and deviate from the G1 team. Maybe bump them up to a seven-bot (the main four, Groove as chest plate, leg replacement guy and additional hip-bot like their Thorgorilla)

    And a T-Beast version

This might sound a bit harsh, but wait until G1 collectors start finishing their collections (or die) and nobody will care about MP G1 companies as much as the fandom do now.

The future is for beast wars, UT, and the movie bots...

GT were selling a lot of different Gravity Builder sets way way after they finished the individual releases. Hopefully for GT this set will follow a similar pattern now that everyone knows they're getting the complete team.

I know. I have the Black Judge version. Demand for their Devastator was pretty good though like their first run completely sold out, and subsequent runs also did well. That allowed them to release the Yellow version (Duron) which also did well. The reception for this set though has been less than enthusiastic as I said. Like there hasn't been any rerun of any of the limb bots.

My guess is minimum $174.99 but wouldn’t be surprised if it was $199.99, at least in US stores. ShowZ might be a bit less.
