And now we're getting a white repaint of Gorilla. I'm starting to think they're out of money to finish the set so they're selling repaints to finance it. Seriously, why is it taking so damn long?

GT is very bad with updating the collectors so more or less it will be a sudden drop rather than monthly/quarterly update. I just hope they finish it because I love so far how the team is lining up.

    Monthly/quarterly, don't you mean yearly/bi-yearly

Yeah that repaint was very frustrating to see. Add to it the fact that GT is virtually mute at all times and I find myself wishing that almost any other company was making these guys.

Obnoxious / entitled fans are the ones to blame for that...

I just don't want this to be the ONE 3rd party combiner that doesn't get finished. I only briefly inspected each limb bot when they arrived at my home, they are waiting in their boxes for the big finale if/when Hotspot arrives. It's taken a lot of discipline not to enjoy the limb-bots, but I'm hoping it's worth it, especially based on how awesome their Stunticons turned out. I have faith...if only my patience could match...

They are fun. I opened three of them and they are waiting patiently for their leader.

Sarge is one of my favorite MP scale figures. His transformation isn’t too complicated, he looks great in both modes.

Keep in mind that most 3P companies aren't big movers and shakers. They don't own the factories, and have to compete for factory time. It may be less about not having the money than sitting and waiting for a factory time window that is more cost efficient. A repaint/redeco is a known quantity and likely "cheaper" to get into the queue than a brand new super complex mold with a bazillion combiner bits.

Consumer confidence is down everywhere as well. I'm lucky enough to still be working, but when I do get laid off, and I will, I would choose groceries and mortgage over toys. Just has to be that way. I'm sure GT knows this and will be in no hurry to release the last figure until things chill out a bit.

A lot of factories in China are also opting to produce essential goods such as masks, medical equipment, etc; either by choice or by government mandate. So that could be a thing too.

    Hey Guys,

Anyone had any lucking contacting GT recently? I had a breakage occur on a figure I received as a gift and don't know who the retailer was. I don't know if a random retailer would assist if I reached out or not. I tried to reach out to GT through FB the other day but they haven't even updated their FB since like 2016 so this isn't looking very promising. Any thoughts? Think a random retailer might help if I reach out? I certainly can take that route, just thought I'd see if anyone else had recent contact first and could help me out. Seems only the retailers are able to reach them? Thanks for any help/advice.

So turns out they won't ship out to me and I have to go through a retailer. I hope one will help even if I didn't make the initial order.

Why not just ask whoever gave it to you as a gift to provide you the reseller info, and then contact that reseller?

Well, it's not like that wasn't my first thought, sadly and I didn't wanna really have to post it, the person who gifted it to me has since passed. Sorta why I wanna try to see if I can get assistance with the part. So that's not an option I can take. I'm just gonna email one and see what they say and if not try another....

Contact a few of the bigger US retailers. I know a couple of them will sell parts if they can get them.

Here's the piece that broke on my figure. Tried to reach out to Toy Dojo, waited about a week with no response so I tried Agabyss. Got to be 4 days since I emailed them when I finally heard back. They said they'd try to see what they could do but wasn't sure because they haven't had the figure in a while. Crossing my fingers!! My last option is to buy another copy and I am hoping it doesn't come down to that.

The nice thing is that I only need the outer part of the left arm. There are two screws on the opposite side so it would be a truly simple fix if I can get the part.

    Wish me luck!

How did it break, if you don't mind me asking? Is it a something that potential buyers should look our for?

It was all me to be honest. When I was transforming it from Bot to Alt mode, I had the arms in place, I was pressing on the parts to make sure things were pegged in and positioned correctly. I forgot it was pegged into the wheel as well and with applying too much pressure, it just snapped apart. Just don't be overly firm when trying to make sure things are aligned properly.

    *Sigh*

I'm still beating myself up that it even happened. It's not like I was trying to be all macho with it to begin with. Sometimes accidents just happen. Hoping Agabyss comes through for me.
