I just checked and saw the video was posted,
Quality is so poor, I can't tell shit from it.
I agree but you have to remember that it is illegal to use youtube in China so I give them a pass.
Lmao. Good point!
I wish showZ would send one over to WindCharger or Sun of Empire. They're both very competent and speak English and are located in China. Windcharger makes legitimately critical, very high end reviews, but I'm not sure if that's what ShowZ would want
WindCharger is a good guy I enjoy his reviews.
I just want that weapon and blast effect.
Unless someone wants to buy the original one from me.
Yeah, they're awesome. Now that I think about it, though... isn't he in the middle of a move? Damn, lol. I really want to know what differences there are on this re-release!
I’m in the same boat.
First time we've seen the box?
I don't think so, sure the box has made an appearance before?
For the new version I meant.
I'm amazed at how little that video helps. At this point I think the only thing that will work for some finality is for a board member to get it and show nice clear pictures.
Yeah I'm sure I've seen that picture before, is that not the new one?
According to the video, depending on lighting, you might not be able to tell the difference between this version and the old one. Seems like you'll need an LED or something to bring out the differences.
What does that all mean? Not sure, I am not a lighting expert. Honestly just give me a chance to buy the weapon
I thought GT boxes were all black? Or did they have a sleeve with character art also?
I remember liking their boxes but its been so long since they released something I was interested in that I dont remember what they look like. L
I'm not really concerned about how it looks compared to the original one. The pictures of it look great, be it a little transparent here and there. My concern is more in its durability. There is a belief among us all that clear plastic crack easy, is this still the case? Do we have to handle this guy with kid gloves?
Or is it clear plastic so thick and or pliable that it's not really going to make a difference?
I think no matter how thick the plastic is, translucent plastic is inherently weaker than solid. The specific color polymers used can also have an effect on how strong the plastic is as well. Overall, I think black is stronger with lighter colors like yellow being weaker. But I've also seen THICK black translucent plastic develop cracks and striations with little to no handling - just the nature of the material.
That said, I'm looking forward to enjoying this figure for whatever amount of time it stays pristine.
Transparent Plastic = Planned Obsolescence
I don't expect it to be stronger than solid plastic, just not weak. Does that make sense?
I want a figure I can transform back and fourth and pose without fear of breakage, not glass.
Regardless thickness, whoever has worked with a gunpla knows exactly how the transparent stuff is prone to break.
