https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/alt.toys.transformers/ZFsFrUSlWWY. reading this discussion a poster claimed perceptor's box art was designed by a hasbro commissioned artist. But curiously comparing the micro change and tformers art it seems the artist actually made a poor copy of the Takara art only slightly modified . compare http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q6wqf4CiSBE/UrNHdNCgOJI/AAAAAAAACHA/TrQUtVrw7TA/s1600/IMG_2332.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vUJlz-9XFl0/ThrZyu73ADI/AAAAAAAAAKY/iOHSmZBPPwU/s1600/240px-Perceptor.gif.

Cool find, man! I'd never seen Perceptor's TT Micro Change box art. TT's airbrush artists were leagues better than the American artists Hasbro commissioned. I cannot wait to get my hands on TF: Legacy, but Hasbro's artists did not know how to illustrate cool robots, or even simple shapes for that matter.

TakaraTomy, I'm guessing, even though it was just "Takara" back then.
