We're back with more cut audio from G1. This is the first of, sadly, only two tapes that we have from Season 2 so let's start off with The Imobilizer

 

Oh damn, I was wondering if we'd get more of these.  

 

Thanks to our friends of Transformers @ The Moon for sharing more of their deleted audio material from the Transformers G1 cartoon. These never-before-heard audios are from the G1 episode #22 The Immobilizer.

I added the unused audio to episode one years ago when they revealed it. Added I believe, 7 minutes to the episode. Was almost done with ep 2 but my pc crashed and I lost all the work arghhhh

anyways my eyes are bad now so I cant do it anymore but I wish someone or a group would do that. Make a sort of EXTENDED DIRECTORS CUT of these episodes.

Loved how it made the first episode longer and would have loved to see all of these eps done

You can still find the episode 1 I did on youtube. I had hoped it would have inspired others to continue it, but sadly now. Lots of views though and lots of good compliments

Same channel, but I only had a small part in Pretender to the throne. The first episode extended cut with the used audio was all me though.

It was broken up in parts because for some reason at the time, they wouldnt let the owner of the channel post it all in one video, its broken up in 5 parts

but if all the episodes of that first story arc had about 7 minutes more to it , like the first ep , it would have had one more episode

We added a few cameos inside of deleted scenes, like Sunstorm, hotlink, bitstorm, talking, Cameos from Elita 1 and her crew and even Whirl and Roadbuster on screens LOL.

What does unslugged mean?

Once storyboards were complete, animation directors timed out the non-dialogue action. An "unslugged tape" is one that the recorded dialogue, this would be sent to Marvel Productions and would be spaced against the timing sheets relating to the storyboards. The result is a "slugged tape" where there are gaps where the SFX, transitions etc would go. Once slugged producers knew how much needed to be cut to get down to the runtime, for S1 and S2 that was 21 minutes, for season 3 it was less.
