I recently completed the cab/mech for my latest (and hopefully final!) update to G3 Optimus Prime. Normally, showing that off would wait till I'd redone the trailer and consist of a series of shots, with rifle, pose, extra guns, Matrix, cab etc and so on. But a) I'm impatient and b) where's the fun it that? So, I present for your viewing pleasure the Transformers: Generation 3 comic preview page! ENjoy!
Pretty cool there, Librarian. You know, I was actually thinking about something. Since you're using a CAD program that's limited in terms of rendering and texturing, you could try and import your renders into Photoshop and mess around with painting your light sources (even changing the color for more dynamic lighting), and in some cases paint battle damage assuming you'd up for it. I look forward to seeing more.
Thanks all! Star Cracker: These were put together in Photoshop, so I'm already teaching myself how to use it. Battle damage is something I clean forgot about while doing this, but I have some ideas about how to paint it. Cataclizm1: Not really. This was more a 'let's see what I can do...' moment. Though given that at least one person has asked for a full length comic everywhere I've posted this, I may have to get something done. I just need a few more models... (Prime, Megs, Screamer, The Seekers, Jazz, Stepper, Sideswipe, Red Alert, Roller and Hi Q aren't quite enough for a full book!) To everone else, thank you for your kind words. Here's just another image I put together some time ago: A teaser type image, the Nemesis! (That's the mech, Unicron's primary herald, not the spaceship)
