TFsafari are very good and very reliable.

At the moment I'm not buying anything from them, (I wasn't satisfied with their attitude towards replacing a toy I had pre-ordered from them. It arrived utterly crushed and the best they were prepared to offer was a US$5 coupon code,) however every time I have bought upgrade kits from them I've had no troubles.

If buying from eBay is more your speed, I highly reccomended sugar-girl0309 who has wonderful customer service and has been super helpful to me.

Does anyone know if the Studio Series '86 Arcee leg filler kit etc ever came out ?

I think the other kits have more useful pieces even if you may have to repaint them. the likes of missile fillers and a gun storage peg are included with other sets they often also include leg extenders for those who want those. Though I did have to adjust a couple of the leg armour fillers the fit due to a minor molding quirk of the Kingdom Mould's leg armour the best overall leg armour set remains the Dr. Wu set as it has more gaps filled in it, but you would have to paint it. The fit of the thigh insert is the best for the Doctor Wu set for a start.
Though the shoulder tower fillers would be wrong on the Dr Wu kit this can be gotten around a bit with another kit that does just the shoulder fillers and a matrix holder (I think they give you a different matrix with the SG Magnus though so he needs a specific kit for the Matrix filler for the differently sized Matrix. Though I noticed the set I bought for the Kingdom mould both cracked due to being a bit to tight of a fit.

But one little tip that might be useful for people is that rubbery pipe like stuff that some kits come with these days is perfect for mounting Magnus' gun on his back same for Kingdom & SG Blaster.

I'll still need to buy a couple of ROS sets to get the missile fillers though sometime.

you know what kind of upgrade kit I'd like to see? replacement window/visor plastic for SG Magnus so you can give him blue windows without buying ER Magnus as well as options for yellow and orange. i'd be completely in for yellow and orange.

They have their own shop. The catch is that it's on Taobao.

Are the armoured chest windows glued ?
The cab windows looks easy enough to change, it's just a couple of screws holding them in place.

You never know Hasbro or Takara might use the mould to make a Nemesis one day and then they might be weird and give that one windows that are purple or teal or some other random colour that isn't red. then you might have some to swap.

But I can see the use it would be nice for those wanted their Delta Magnus to look a little different.

Got some insect legs for Legacy Kickback. I don’t know this improves the alt mode that much, but I like it, heh. (I’ve always thought Kickback’s alt mode was weak, no matter the iteration.)

You attach yours directly to Kickback's legs?

I got a set of those legs for Kickback, but I plugged them into the included connection piece and attached the whole rig to Kickback's hips.

I'm also not sure that they improve the toy, but they do make the grasshopper mode look more like an actual insect.

Got some old Transform Dream Wave combiner sets to try...and now I see why I didn't buy any before and why Perfect Effect sets were recommended. Completely unusable out the box without modding, unless you like broken ports. We had only purchased Perfect Effect sets before, and they're so much better.

Going to file down several pegs and try again. The TDW pegs were measuring 5.2-5.3mm...yikes. PE pegs were a little snug but went up to 5.08-5.1mm at most.

JRC Design has swords for Slug and Sludge in stock. Also a Grimlock sword, but it's out of stock. I got his Slug sword because I thought his solution to the shape/size of the hilt looked the best and I'm happy with it. In fact, I'm pretty happy with everything I have gotten from him.

That said, he's been quiet on 2005 for a while and had to delay orders because of a backlog (possibly because it's harvest season, plus his rotor gun for Leadfoot apparently didn't work as well as he wanted it to). So if you order, don't expect a quick turnaround.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate his delay to work out all the kinks in that rotor. Mine has arrived and it’s absolutely perfect. Smooth as butter.

Both windshields (armor and cab) are easy to get out and swap on the ER/SG Magnus mold. The armor one is glued and can be easily pushed/pried off, and the cab one is just a couple screws and some light glue. I know because I swapped both of mine for a Delta Magnus variant.

That being said, I’d be SUPER into a replacement windshield kit, because I managed to ruin one of the cab windshields (the original red SG one) trying to dye it black. Warped it all to heck (along with his gun and shoulder missiles). :/ So I ended up picking up an extra ER Magnus to steal his windshield and weapons, and decided to settle for Delta Magnus having a blue windshield on his cab.

But now I’ve got a windshield-less ER Magnus just sitting in my parts bin. A new windshield kit would help me at least turn him into something.

My Superion set worked just fine out of the box, the Abominus set however needed quite a bit of work.

I hear 'ya. I was going to do an all-Blot limb team for Abominus, but decided against it when I saw TDW kit. It took me so long to get all the component bots for it and after BBTS finally got the kit in...nothing but disappointment, armor bits falling off, too tight here or too lose there, hindering Hungurr's transformation...just nope nope nope all around. Cancelled all my other TWD preorders and never looking back.

Meanwhile CW Menasor and Devvy are dressed to the nines in PE armor and they stand resolute. Too bad PE seems to be gone, they really did good work.

There must be some variability in mold runs or something. I've got the TDW sets on UW Superion, Computron, Abominus, Piranhacon and the TDW hands & feet on Briticus and the only issue I had with peg size was the Seacons. The foot for Tentakil had to have the peg filed down as it was WAY too big to even fit into the port, and the new chest plate interferes with the shoulders and pushes the butterfly joint to the back of the range of motion. Everything else fits nicely and there are no cracked ports.
