Has anyone picked up the Menasor front-facing vehicle upgrade kit? Saw this on eBay but wasn't sure if it was worth the cash.

 

TFLab tends to put out decent product, but this particular entry just doesn't have my interest. Now if they could hurry up and put out gap fillers for Legacy Scourge like they did Legacy Laser Prime, that I'd go for.

 

Someone made a pair of knee joints for Menasor so you could have the legs backwards, I would rather buy that instead of this tripe.

 

Yeah, I simply do not get tying to put the cars facing forward on the legs. It's 100% pointless.

 

That is how I transformed my Stunticons growing up. It isn't necessary but I prefer it  

 

Nice, might have to get it. I know someone did a mod to have the backend of the legs rotate around but I was not a fan of it really at all. Didn't like how it basically made the cars the feet and no normal feet.

 

Just ordered it. Will let you know what I think when it arrives.

 

I can see some small merit to the idea of mounting the cars on the front of motormasters legs with the nose of the car as the knees.
Pointing down doesn't especially appeal to me.

Besides I kinda want to hide Breakdown on the back where I can't so easily notice he's completely wrong.

 

A mistransformation? That can't be the reason for why do many people want a kit for this though.

 

A popular mistransformation. A lot of people think hiding the cars on the back of the leg looks dumb, they should be on the front so you can see them.

 

^This, for many of us (myself included) a big part of the charm of TFs is the noticeable signs of their alternate modes peeking thru.

Is there a staff available for the “A Hero is Born” two pack Alpha-Trion?

Also is there some other decent upgrades for Alpha?

 

Dr Wu P-30 would probably work, but only the clear version is still available anywhere.

 

I have my CW Menasor for car shins and legs. I'll wait until I have the final Legacy Menasor in hand, but I think I'll be OK with him with the cars in the back.

 

I have asked anyone I know with ties to the company if they can make some more purple as I wanted one for my Cyberverse Figure as well as the staff holder does double duty for the sword.

I really hoped they might consider repainting it even in gold or red or Magneta too. But when ever I ask they say that they are only interested in doing small figures these days.

But I don't entirely buy that as there have been other older items re-appearing and like with their sword there is huge potential for repaints and reissues there. I particularly wanted a set for The Cyberverse Alpha Trion and also for Legends Leo Prime (Lio Convoy).

But mentioning that sword Hasbro have used it plenty of times as an accessory for other things so I'd like the Doctor Wu one to get the same colours too I thing it looks really good on the space ship mode to have the bigger swords but mounting them is tricky without the staff holders. other things you might use might chip the paint as they are not designed for them specifically.

It can't hurt to keep asking though & tell them the reason for wanting both the staff and the swords.

But they weren't facing forward on the G1 toy either.

 

You could put them on that way if you chose to. And many did, because they preferred the way it looked. I don't understand why it bothers or concerns you what other people do with their stuff.
