Does anyone know of an MP-10 upgrade kit for eyes and hands? I have the Takara version, and want better hands and painted eyes.

 

I started using Siege Skyfire's black missiles as peg extenders to better attach his missile to his shoulder and hand.

I bought the space shuttle Micromasters and Skyfire's missiles will do double duty as solid rocket boosters while Doubledealer's own missile will function as the gas tank, inspired by the GC galactic odyssey set.
While seeing if I could get that setup with DD I discovered I can use Skyfire's missiles as peg-extenders.

I don't see third parties stepping up for DD, so it's time to get creative with what we've got.

 

Immeasurably frustrated. Was hoping DNA Designs would make some leg extensions for Doubledealer.

 

The Toyhax Armoury 2.0 gear, as in the guns & weapons under that listing, are all injection-moulded now AFAIK Large/Medium/Small size options, rock solid paint, and transparent handles with multiple positioning options to help you tailor the grip for particular versions of the character you're arming up. They're of a parity to Nonnef's now IMO. Also some guns have an extra custom position for the handle post if you choose to glue it yourself, like the Springer Medium size which has a third more forward UZI-like post position (which I dug for a Commando).



I believe the wee upgrades that come with sticker sets may still be 3D printed and a tad less durable still though.

 

KFC did hands for the MP-10 mold that include a bigger ion blaster but they've been long since discontinued.

Well that'd be a no then (as far as I'm aware), since I've not heard of anyone doing new sets of hands/eyes right now in 2021.

Maybe another regular of this thread will have heard something through the grape vine.

Anyone here have pics of their (specifically) Super Megatron with the ROS-018 upgrade kit? I just got the ship in hand, but won't be getting Super Megs for a bit since it's tied with another order.

 

Tried the GX Arcee kit. Decided to add it onto another order. It’s the first stinker kit from Go Happy / GX that I’ve tried.

The leg covers limit mobility: knee rotation, backwards ankle rotation, and takes away thigh swivel.

The painted white leg covers match the painted white on the figure, which is slightly different than the base white plastic on the legs.

There is no taper at the edges, so there is an abrupt cutoff. This looks awful. Multiple small gap fillers would have worked much better.

The backpack doesn’t fit flush.

The blaster peg is a rectangle with sharp corners. Normal hands cannot hold it.

Overall rating: Avoid.

Put the kit on and then removed. Leg covers are not compatible with stock backpack / shell.

Dunno if this is the place to ask, but anyone know if the Toyhax ER Wheeljack set will work more-or-less okay with the Netflix Wheeljack?

I know there's some places where the stickers won't cover the battle damage, but I think I've got enough offcuts and spare sheets that I should be able to fake it...

 

Also got the old Beelzeboss Iron Lady set from TFSafari. These are relatively small accessories and fits Deluxe size well. These are NOT replacements for the oversized weapons that came with the Combiner Hunters set.

ER Arcee mold bots are able to use ALL the weapons and shield without modding. For the axe and small sword, find a thinner part of the handle to wedge into their hands. ER OP mold and SS86 Hot Rod are able to use all the weapons due to their open hand design but NOT the oversized peg on the shield. Only the big sword is able to be used on standard closed hands but actually may be loose on them. The sai by itself is a little oversized and do NOT recommend jamming into closed hands.

This is the only weapon that works on standard closed hands.


Only ER Arcee mold hands are able to expand without breaking to accommodate the oversized shield peg. The sai and axe are able to combine. Open handed characters can hold the axe, including ER OP molds and SS86 Hot Rod. The sai handle by itself is slightly oversized so avoid using on standard closed hands to avoid getting stuck.


Open handed characters can hold the small sword.


With the exception of the large sword, do NOT use these on SS86 Scourge's left hand. His thumb is fragile and may break.

 

Question for you guys. I finally got the Jinbao gravity builder. I also ordered the upgrade parts. The upgrade package didn't come with long hauls new waist or scrapper's roof. I figure I got mine so late that those parts were already upgraded. I saw a user, hopefully on this forum, had posted a picture of the internal differences. I, of course, now can't find that anywhere. Does anyone have the specifics on this so I can open mine and look for myself?

 

Got mine like a year ago, came with the replacements, I swapped them, but seemed like exactly the same pieces when I did it, so I think the running changes had already taken place back then.

 

probably so. Last week I spent an hour or so each day building up certain loose friction connections, and I have to say the stability has increased quite a bit. There still seems room for improvement with the ratchet connection from legs to hip though. Maybe I can find some new gears. I dunno why I get into things so deeply, at this rate I'll never get to paint. But then, the satisfaction from things like Mixmasters front cab not folding up all loosey goosey when it's a foot (toes), makes it very much worth the effort to me.

Thanks for your write up on the Beelzeboss Iron Lady set, particularly this bit about the Chromia shield & halberd - I've been eyeballing the set as a potential upgrade to my custom TR Chromia from a Blurr base bod, and now I know the weapons I want wouldn't work with those closed fists so I really appreciate you preventing a potential disappointing purchase! 

 

Looks like DNA Design DK-20 SS Devastator kit is finally ready for shipping to stores. They did skip over some earlier announced kits for this. Expect to see on overseas sites first.

A mini Reflector, Soundwave, Megatron, and Shockwave painted all over would sell like hotcakes.
