PLEASE do a set of gap fillers, including the horns, for Slag. I really don’t want to have to gamble on a set from random Chinese sellers.

 

I ordered my stickers the day they were announced, but they always take 2 weeks minimum to get to me in the States. International mail is not the fastest thing in the world.

 

That's where I 'm lucky... I live a few hours from they're locations   usually takes a day or 2 after they've shipped  

 

My exact thoughts, a few seconds ago. I do like the detailing and design, though.

Go Better T-Wrecks Set
Not going to go into much detail since it's a redeco of their earlier Beast Megatron set. 2 thigh fillers, left forearm filler, shotgun, and toothbrush. The color matching is great. Set looks and works great. Overall, recommended purchase for T-Wrecks.


Tim Heada Ultra Magnus Kit

This kit ended up being meh, mostly due to quality of the finished print as well as proportions. Ended up being bigger than I thought it'd be.

This is clearly oversized for WFC Ultra Magnus figures. It's really more proportioned for his MP figure if anything else. In fact, the missiles match the scale of the MP figure's missiles. Didn't care for the missiles much.

The finish leaves much to be desired. If the finish was at least Shockwave Lab quality, I would be very happy. I've had some TH kits with pretty good QC regarding the finish. This one is not one of them. There's plenty of surface dings and micro chipping. There's also some errant blue paint. The bottom of the hammer port had a fairly large chip which then made the port look warped. There's also support nubs, which affected the back surface of the missiles the most.

The hammer splits apart into 4 pieces. The peg higher up is in their regular 3d printed plastic and does not rotate. The main handle bar, though, is the unpainted black nylon material. It looks OK here unless you look really up close for the grainy texture. Unlike the Shockwave Lab hammer, there is no way to mount to UM's back. Because of the forearm armor, in order for the main handle to plug in, the hand has to be rotated.

Overall: Only get if you really, really want an oversized hammer regardless of QC issues with the finish.

It's big...too big for WFC UM figures.


There's printed Autobot logos on the sides. The surface print quality unfortunately doesn't make it look good.


It was hard to capture the shiny paint on camera. This is nowhere near as smooth as more recent Shockwave Lab sets, let alone Go Better.



Again, hard to capture on camera, but the rear surface of the missile pods had micro chips and support nubs.


Bonus:
Didn't care for the oversized missiles, however, I had another idea for them. Repainted them to black (matte) and silver along with trimming down the peg length a little.

 

Wow glad I ended up skipping that set for UM

 

Has anyone seen an upgrade kit for TR Twinferno that gives him fists? Nothing fancy, just something that clips inside one/both of his dragon jaws in bot mode. I know he already has the 5mm hole in the jaw joints, but was looking for mostly aesthetic reasons. Didn't see anything on Thingiverse, Cults, or Shapeways either.

I finally ordered your Grapple arm & leg fillers today! Woo hoo! I already have the TH articulated claw, now I just need to figure out a Junkion-style paint scheme for him and maybe a new head.

 

Don't think I like the new Tracks set any better than the Matrix Workshop one... can't someone just make new missiles that are similar in size to the official ones but without the ugly hollow bits?

 

Give people time, I'm sure we will see some kits from other people soon.

 

Normally, I wouldn't be posting about the Dr. Wu mini bots here, but I noticed a new cassette prototype in a recent post, which I'm assuming is Slamdance. The cassettes are compatible with WFC Soundwave molds, so they would also count as upgrades.


I honestly wasn't impressed by the Squawkbox cassettes.

 

We need ark filler upgrades

 

Yeah so I caved and placed my order for this set. I went with "set-A" with the two shoulder pauldrons as it was only a few dollars more and I want Meggy to be bulked up and ready to roll heads.

This is getting expensive, though. I've spent as much on upgrades as I have new figures. On the one hand I'm not buying the figures I don't need and really making the ones I like POP! But on the other hand I gotta be careful before I burn half my paycheck on these.

Damn you upgrades. Why you gotta look so good?!?!  

 

Not to dunk on anyone who liked this, but to me they took a problem and just made another problem. Dinobot comes with giant flat gross hands. They decide to give him itty bitty baby hands as a replacement. There’s gotta be someone making raptor claws that look decent

 

Hot damn! I'm pretty happy with my Chatter/Squawkbox, so I'll definitely be preordering their Slamdance.

 

If I find a better upgrade kit, I'll get it. I'm still on the lookout for dentures for his dino mode.

 

I dunno, hands seem right for the show model, just without the webbing
