Looking really good. I love the colors and that run of episodes mid season 2 all the way to the end of season 3 was probably the best tf storyline we will ever get.

 

U could probably find one on ebay or a similar site

 

They have gone up in price so much, I am waiting to see if 3rd Party makes a Chug Scaled one, like they did with MP.

 

Picking this up, but I do wish Transmutate looked more like she did in the cartoon with the robotic profile instead of Paleotrex organic dinosaur bones.

Would’ve just preferred they reissued the 10th anniversary BAF as a Con/Pulse exclusive or something.

This is something Botcon would have done if they had still been around.

I believe this would have been a "who can we repaint Paleotrex into" than "how can we give the fans an accurate Transmutate" situation.

 

Now I'm sad because I've been reminded of how long it's been since we've had a new Silent Hill...  

 

Bingo. Have to use the mold as much as possible, and 2-3 new head pieces is a small price compared to what they make in sales, compared to an all new Transmutate mold.

Anyways, my headcannon for this is they are some ancient cybertronian official (or something) that ended up fossilized and reawakened during the events of Kingdom. No relation to that BW one episode nightmare...

 

yeah, my head canon for this one is BW Megs salvaged her and rebuilt her into the prototype fossilizer.

The body doesn't look like the character.
The character specific head doesn't match the Guyver inspired toy design.

Given that every Fossilizer remold is either THIS ugly POS or a store exclusive from stores I loathe shopping from, I'm going to stick with multiples of the main deco and just ignore everything else. Hasbro dropped the ball on this micro collection.

 

I mean, Paleotrex isn't the worst mold to turn into Transmutate. It's not accurate, sure, but it's still a suitably alien body shape.

...White Knighting aside, I do wish Transmutate got an extensive retool a la the old Takara Legends and Generations Selects Ultra Megatron. Like, could you imagine how cool it would have been if they made Transmutate look like a Transmetal 2 or even Beast Machines-era Tyrannosaurus skeleton?

 

I have the weirdest sort of time displaced case of 'fomo' with this figure.

I'm tempted to pick one up so that I don't miss out on it, because I'll def want one later if they make a new version of BW Rampage, which is not even guaranteed as a concept currently.

I love how this looks. Didn't care for any of the other fossilizers but this one just works for me~

 

The opening mouth is awesome and unexpected, but also the stuff of nightmares.
